I'm not complaining but I'd have made this thread #13 like in league tables whenever there are two tied for a position, they have the same number, and the following one is the number it would have been anyway rather than the net number after the tied one. The "lovely weather" one was the leading #11 since it came first. But now we are back to normal and it doesn't matter! Let's put it all behind us.

25 Name: ( ˃ ヮ˂) : 1993-09-7247 22:30

Being pro-14, I'm all for skipping #13 or even having two, three or more #14 threads instead.

Not simultaneously, but rather like: "[#14 p.1/14]" Of course, this requires to sacrifice another part of the title because it's already too long.

When, in disgrace with fortune and men’s eyes,
I all alone beweep my outcast state
And trouble deaf heaven with my bootless cries
And look upon myself and curse my fate,
Wishing me like to one more rich in hope,
Featured like him, like him with friends possess’d,
Desiring this man’s art and that man’s scope,
With what I most enjoy contented least;
Yet in these thoughts myself almost despising,
I change the sonnet, though it's really cool,
Because the ending is so compromising;
It says to me things innocently cruel
And it's not nice to plagiarize, I know,
But I can not find love, which kind of blows.

I got Olympic Soccer for the PS1 for £1 last week in a charity shop, because it was one of the first Playstation games I ever played, at a friend's house. It's pretty fun, it reminds me a bit of European Club Soccer for the Sega Megadrive, in 3D. Anyways a funny glitch just happened. There's no injury time so as soon as the clock hits 45 the whistle blows for half time and the players leave the pitch and the stats come up. But you can skip the intermission, and the players just run to the other side of the pitch instead of into the tunnel. The CPU team (Poland) had just taken a shot when the whistle blew, and I immediately pressed X - to tackle, but instead it skipped the half-time bit - and the ball went in, and it registered it as a goal anyway even though time was up! It played the goal animations and replay and goal commentary and everything underneath the stats screen while the players got into position, but since I had pressed X and I guess it was registered as a new half, since the teams had swapped the goal counted as mine!

tl;dr there was a funny glitch in an ancient obscure football game and I thought it was neat.

Probably multiplayer and all the community-created content. Personally, despite its numerous flaws I think it's one of the best sandbox games I've played. Ever since Red Faction I've always liked first person games that let you edit the terrain, but Minecraft was the first one that had unlimited world editing capabilities while still being intuitive and fun.

It's like marajuana except actually addictive and less relaxing. The only reason more people do it than weed is because it's legal where marajuana is illegal.
Though it's interesting, marajuana was made illegal in order to keep the rope companies from going bankrupt since hemp rope is so cheap to make, but now hemp is legal and marajuana is not.

You might be thinking that Daft Punk's song is about "scoring" or, to put it bluntly, having sex. But it isn't.

"Like the legend of the phoenix" Daft Punk make their triumphal return. This song is about art, it is about music. "The force" that "keeps the planet spinning" is creativity.

"We’re up all night to get lucky" in this context is about working hard to find that special melody, that "vibe" that makes Daft Punk's music so distinct as opposed to modern music, that has become generic: "the present has no rhythm".

But Daft Punk is not going to stop and relax despite of their international fame!

We’ve come too far
To give up who we are
So let’s raise the bar
And our cups to the stars

Hats off to Daft Punk!

I've been feeling a little melancholy these past few days. Nothing serious, just a sort of pervasive vague listlessness. The sort of feeling you get when you finish something wonderful - a book, a game, an anime, whatever it may be - and the joy it brought you slowly evaporates to leave only an awareness that it's over and it isn't coming back.

But what happened today changes everything.

A mere two or three hours ago, I went to a Chinese restaurant with a friend. My gaze trickled down the Engrish-laden menu until it reached the very last item of the Starters section. There, unassumingly, was printed: "Bread of happiness". Well, what the hell, I thought. May as well try something silly sounding. So I ordered it along with a noodle dish and some jasmine tea.

A few minutes later it came, sailing gracefully through the restaurant on the arms of a young waitress. A round plate upon which sat two steaming pastry bundles separated by a solitary sprig of parsley. The pastries themselves were decorated to resemble plump rabbits with their ears flat against their backs and small beady eyes staring straight forward. Intrigued, I cut the end off one of them and ate it.

It was incredible. Warmth spread through my mouth like a late spring breeze. The pastry cradled my tongue like a lover's caress. The sweet filling blossomed out like a lotus flower. The flavour was subtle, gentle, yet powerful. I have never tasted anything like it and likely never will again. This was truly the bread of happiness.

I insisted that my friend try a piece. He commented that it tasted quite nice.

It's a comic about two kids with DQN names, basically stupid names parents give their children. The main characters are tenshi and akuma (angel and demon.) I don't have time now to read past the title page but I'm guessing more characters with DQN names will make an appearance.

It's 2:41AM and I just got it. I know how to save America. Take all Facebook users and force them onto treadmills connected to iPads. The iPads will be powered by the friction generated by use of the treadmills. The subjects will only be allowed to use Facebook or an iPad while on the treadmill and never while off it. The iPad can only remain powered on while the subject is running on the treadmill. The longer and faster the subject runs, the more they get to use Facebook/iPads.

The end result for any individual subject will be one of three things.
A) A subject will quit Facebook/iPad use causing them to form real relationships with real people and the world around them.
B) A subject will keep running to keep the iPad powered on, causing them to burn fat and become my physically healthy.
C) A subject will be too stupid to quit Facebook use, and too fat to keep the iPad powered on, thus they will continue until they go into cardiac arrest. If the subject is dead they can no longer breed and pass on the unhealthy and/or unintelligent genes to future generations of our species. And the economy is bolstered by the sudden need for cranes, crane operators, and the manufacturing of plus-sized coffins.

I just needed someplace to write this down where I would not loose this thought and /dqn/ was my best bet. Sorry for the intrusion.

I wondered how you'd let them use the facebook "more" the faster they run if they can't use it without running, but then I realised you can give the device download speeds proportional to how fast they run.

Fucking a fleshlight is actually kind of involved. You have to warm it up (unless you like it cold), lube it up with the proper lube, find an appropriate place to jam it for thrusting (unless you want to wank with it or buy a super expensive stand for it). Afterwards you have to clean it out which is not quite so simple as throwing out a tissue either.

Also, if you consider getting one anyway, do not buy the starter one. It's smooth inside and you feel barely anything with it. Get a Fleshlight Girls (or a Fleshjack if you roll that way) and get one of the realistic tunnels (or one of the other funky ones if you prefer.)

I have a student's lapel pin of a very respectable university, but I was expelled, so it's nothing to be proud of. Lego Space Shuttle is very nice, but then again, I didn't design it, I merely followed the instructions. My PC that is both quiet and powerful, isn't a very exciting thing to look at.

Almost all of my projects exist either in either abandoned or incomplete state (i.e. RC car which requires lots of assembly) or just in theory.

At least now I know why I'm feeling so miserable and sad. I don't have a creative outlet.
