You COULD make "regular" melon-pan...but would'nt you rather make the Melon-sushi-pan from Yakitate!Japan? After all, everybody (Y!J fans at least) know that Melon-pan has a "weakness"- cookie and bread dough bake differently, so most melon-pan are made with the bread section slightly underbaked.
The ingenious solution- bake them seperately! When both are ready slap them together with a heap of melon cream in the middle, Sushi-style!
Now who said you can't learn anything from television.
