It's strange coming to a board and seeing no Undertale content. (7)

Now it's pretty cancer, but there was a time when you could like it without worrying about being considered cancer.

It's a shame.

it is a good game but i am damn tired of hearing people whining about the fanbase... you could have just made a thread about the game instead of metadiscussion...

I'm honestly surprised it had such staying power. It's a lovely game with some good tunes, but I only played through it once then never touched it again.

Maybe it's because immediately after playing it I ran back to play Earthbound which overshadowed it quite a lot.

I think it's because the characters hit a note with a lot of people, even myself honestly. Quite frankly, Sans and Papyrus are a lot more memorable than Porky or Dr. Andonuts.

I find it odd when people compliment Undertale on its characters because I found them to be some of the most boring characters in gaming. None of them have any character aside from their running quirk, and getting to know them didn't really flesh them out all that much. The only one that really got attention is Alphys, who the game tries to make you feel really bad for despite the fact that her problems are entirely her fault. If anything I feel bad for the monsters whose lives she ruined.

I find that the game survived more on hype and reminding people of Earthbound than actually being a very good game.
