Looking for a friend to learn and play Android Netrunner with.
It's a cyberpunk theme card game -- but not a trading card game because instead of booster packs, when a new set of cards comes out, they'll all sold together in a big set. The current company maintaining the game releases sets as hi-res PDF files and encourages people to print and play if they don't want to spend $50 on cardboard pictures. Unlike Magic / YuGiOh / Pokemon, etc, it also is not a symmetric dueling game, but a game fought between a mega-corporation and lone wolf hacker.
The corporation wins by installing "agendas" onto "remote servers", hiding them behind firewalls and feeding them money to activate them.
The hacker tries to hack past firewalls, accessing the corporation's deck, hand, or remote servers, and if he finds an agenda, he can steal it and instantly score it for points.
This game was designed by the founder of Magic: the Gathering but differs from it in many ways; notably, there are no booster packs, so cards are a bit more balanced in terms of viability; aside from the asymmetric format, there are also many different kinds of actions a player can take on his turn as well as more bluffing involved. 5 or 10 games played with the same decks and even the same draws could play out very differently based on player agency.

I love netrunner! Sadly I don't play online - I don't have the free time and I find jnet a bit annoying to play on. But I can definitely recommend this to fellow DQNs - it's a fantastic game with a lot of love put into it. Players in my local group have just printed all the cards they needed to play IRL practically for free.
It's insane to me how a game that's community ran, made entirely for free by volunteers, is well balanced and has a healthy competitive scene is so much less popular than trading card games that charge you for random packs and sell out to feature big corporate IPs in their games. The "LCG" model (static expansions instead of random booster packs) is so consumer friendly. I also think the asymmetric gameplay in Netrunner is so much more interesting than your standard monster battler card game pattern that's overdone everywhere else.
