Let me give you one of the best Shonen-ai anime's I've seen in a awhile; though, I'll admit now the manga is much better.
Yami no Matsuei [Descendents of Darkness]
The character imagery is beautiful. Adults look like adults and kids look like kids. The villian is so unexpected, sadistic and wonderful. The main characters are so beautifully canon, even though they never come out to express love, we all know they do. The music is haunting and fits perfectly.
One the downside. The Manga is on a hiatus for a million years and there's some plot holes in the a anime because it's only 13 episodes long. Think of the Loveless anime, all the plot they didn't explain before it ended, that's kinda like Yami no Matsuei.
All and all it's great. I love whoring this show out. :]

Kyou Kara Maou is really good! Its about a boy named Yuuri who is transported to a different world Kagome-style (except instead of falling through a well, he gets flushed down a toilet). I've only watched about two episodes but Yuuri discovers that he's actually the Maou (demon king) of this world. He also accidentally gets engaged to Wolfram, a blond bishonen <3

Love is a Hurricane is a good funny yaoi. Butif you want shounen ai which has more story, try Pet on Duty. Both of them are cute but the yaoi is very graphic, while Pet on Duty has one two page scene.

Junjou romantica would be good. It's technically a yaoi, but the anime doesn't have any scenes that are particularly graphic. The manga on the other hand.. keep away from it if you don't like explicit scenes.
Junjou romantica contains three different main couples.. my favourite being junjou egoist!! Hiroki is awesome.

Double standards are an awful thing to have these days. It is fine when people know they don't like one as much as the other, but not once they act the one they only like is so much better, since they both amount to the same thing. There is no reason to be an elitist with either. I like yuri more than yaoi, somehow they tend to have stronger plot and more emphasis on the characters. But I don't say yaoi is crap or that people who watch it are ignorant fangirls who don't care about the plot, so much as seeing the couple screw each other. I have even liked yaoi like Loveless for having a plot that makes you care about the cast, even if you don't like the age with the main couple. Even Enzai kept my attention despite all the rape scenes you have to sit through. Both yaoi and yuri can have series with enough merit, some that makes it moot whether you wanted guys or girls fanservice when they challenge the stereotypes. Yuri have crap too, so it is not like I expect what I sided on to be perfect
JUNJOU ROMANTICA, im not a sensitive person at all, and yet i found myself crying spontaneously throughout the show. the show has two seasons and a total of about 25 episodes. I get the feeling this is exactly what your all looking for.

07-Ghost is a great anime (my favorite anime/manga) & totally slashable. It's not listed as shounen ai but the hints are DEFINATELY there and it's so obvious.
I also recommend Junjou Romantica.
Also, if you run out of animes to watch, you can always search up a bunch of shounen ai/yaoi mangas to read. There are SO MANY good ones out there (and a couple of terrible ones here and there) and are as entertaining as animes. ^-^
