have you read Blame!? I don't think there's even decent scanlations on the net, so I don't know how you'll read it, but from what I've heard it's pretty good

Blame's good, but I'd rate Abara above it. Biomega is very long, and sort of boring, so I'd place it behind Blame.
If you want something that's less sci-fi, I'd wholeheartedly recommend Kurosawa: Legend of the Strongest Man and its sequel. They're both very good.

Berserk reminded me a lot of Texhnolyze (since, you mentioned you liked Lain). Not cyberpunk at all though. My other personal favs include Oyasumi Punpun and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei but idk if you'd be interested in them.
