The problem I think OP is getting at is this:

  • bad writing
  • bad voice acting
  • bad storyline
  • unrealistic when it is expected to have some realism
  • shit being directed at children, but you are an adult so don't find that mind numbing crap to be interesting

Maybe some of those complains are mine. I watched season 1 and 2 of "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure" (English dub) on Netflix, and while it was interesting and had its high points, I felt like over all it was sorta lame. Sometimes I would switch over to the Japanese audio to hear the interesting Engrish.

It felt like the show was directed towards children and teenagers, which is not a problem to me insofar as it is still appealing to me. However, some stuff only children and teens can really like. As an adult I do like watching "Courage the Cowardly Dog" (so far), probably more than I liked watch Jojo. Maybe the difference is one is more in the action genre and the other is more in the humorous genre.

"Don’t then." may not be the only solution. Maybe if I was drunk or buzzed when watching Jojo I would've liked it better. So far, I do quite like season 3 of "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure". I've been watching the English dub of it on Netflix; I hope the season doesn't go downhill (like I guess HBO/Home Box Office went downhill).

Speaking of bad animes, should I watch the "Death Note" anime series on Netflix? I've heard that there is some controversy around the Netflix version of it, like they changed some things that they shouldn't have or something. I know that Netflix censored gore in the Jojo series so that little kids can watch it or some dumb reason.
