Doremi's more popular in Japan/Spain and it's been that way since the show's existence, but recently I've noticed it becoming more popular with westerners (mostly on [s4s] and in mahou shoujo/precure circles). From the looks of things it won't be too long before e-celebs make youtube video essays (ex: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_Bkfa2K7f4) about it and the fans increase even more.
That being said, what does 4ch think of doremi? Personally it's my favorite magical girl anime/anime in general. Good music, good characters, cute art style, etc.
Completely and utterly ruined by association with the infamously shitty fansub group that somehow refuses to die even in an age where fansubs are obsolete.
New movie and shorts have been confirmed last week. One of the shorts is already out and subbed too. I have high hopes for this since surprisingly Toei didnt fuck up this time and got every original staff member (including Junichi Sato who's directing the film) working on the film.
It's a really creative and more importantly confident show. Lots of anime, particularly anime made after the end of the 90s, have a very clean and mannered feel to them. Ojamajo Doremi feels more like an anime from the 80s or 90s, where the characters are allowed to be drawn really weird and off model for the sake of a scene.
It's hard to explain without watching it yourself, but if you watch it you'll get what I mean basically instantly

Ojamajo Doremi is wonderful. Those little girls have such big hearts.
Geez I remember this being a thing in the early 00s, there's some sort of resurgence is there?
[s4s] latched onto it and it became a cult hit amongst those types
