Some people think this anime sucks because its not an accurate representation of the NEET life. Personally I love it (mostly because of yamazaki and that one flashback scene where Satou doesn't comfort his friend crying). What are your opinions on it?
I liked the novel and the comic, but I just couldn't get into the TV show.

It wasn't supposed to be. An accurate representation of NEET life has next to no entertainment value.
I watched the anime first, loved it, and then read the manga and loved that too. The main girl (it's been years, sorry) is super cute and the OP/ED are both super catchy and gorgeously animated.

Well, it is an anime, so it doesn't need to be a accurate representation
Honestly, it's probably suppose to be a representation of the author's idealized way out of his own hikki lifestyle. It's honestly my favorite anime, because it kept me going when I was a NEET for a while.
I often wonder if the author's okay...

The issue people have isn't that it isn't accurate down to the littlest detail, it's that it doesn't evoke the general vibe. Something can feel accurate without actually being accurate. Shovel Knight for example does a lot of things no NES/Famicom game would actually do, but it gets the general experience down so well that it doesn't matter.

NHK (the anime, havent read any of the manga) does loneliness pretty well in the beginning and in the last arc of the show. Honestly I take Satou over a whiny fag that does nothing interesting and just mopes (aka irl neets). He's a good mixture of goofy and depressing neet in the anime. If that's not what you mean by general vibe then idunno
