Difference between decide and determine in computer terminology (1)

Dictionaries say that there is a difference between "determine" and "decide" in human activities.
For example, "determine" is sometimes defined as "to make up one's mind and then to stick to a fixed or settled purpose" whereas "decide" is "to make up one's mind as to what shall be done" or "to choose something, especially after thinking carefully about several possibilities".

However, for computer judgment (for example, decision blocks), computers will not stick to a fixed or settled purpose, or think carefully. I would like to know whether or not there is a difference between "determine" and "decide" for computer judgment
