Who here gets anime soundtracks ever? The only ones I've ever took the time to 'get' were the Rozen Maiden and Rozen Maiden Traumend OSTs. I love the classical music as well as the fight music.
I look out for anything by Yoko Kanno or Taku Iwasaki. Choro Club also made some really fantastic relaxing music for the ARIA anime, and the second Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou OVA [which they worked on with Iwasaki, in fact].
Yasushi Ishii's soundtrack for the Hellsing TV series is fucking legendary, but he hasn't done any other material that I can find. I remember looking at his site and seeing only stuff about tap dancing [????].
Samurai Champloo, Mushishi, Cowboy Bebop, Last Exile ... Hmmm, too much sleep to think better about this.
I have the Fullmetal Alchemist Complete Best CD, if that counts. >_>
I love Joe Hisaishi who did a lot of the Ghibli films. Other than that I have a few OSTs, but I am generally disappointed by about 90% of the content.
I usually like them if they have a lot of insert songs.
Practically all of Yoko Kanno's rock, as well as all of Yuji Ohno's (Lupin guy), and some of Shiro Sagisu's. Also FLCL and Samurai Champloo (both used "real music" for practically all the song.).
I've collected a fair few anime soundtracks, mostly of shows I've seen and enjoyed (Love Hina, most of the Studio Ghibli movies, AIR, Kanon, Kare Kano, Azumanga Daioh, Rurouni Kenshin, FLCL, etc.) If I liked a show a lot, I'll do my best to get the original CDs, but I got a lot from torrents as well. I also enjoy doujin music that reinterprets game/anime soundtracks, and have downloaded a fair few from the melonbooks.com music section (they seem to accept foreign credit cards).
I forgot to mention the Kokoro Library OST. I love the anime because it's supercute, but others think it's boring. Everyone loves the soundtrack though.
Cowboy Bebop, I listen to them quite a bit.

There are many memories in the old album.
Memory far-off on a date under an innocent smile.
There is a connection of infinity at time, and it doesn't think of the end.
The space which reached the hand was limitlessly transparent and wrapped you.
You who go up the stairs of adult are still Cinderella.
You believe that somebody brings happiness.
Time when you think that oneself was a girl comes.
hmm..i usually download most of the soudtracks from all my fav anime like naruto, bleach, air gear, ouran high school host club, death note..the list goes on...
Shoujo Kakumei Utena dualing soundtracks. Epic.
I collect some anime soundtracks, but I don't have as many as I'd like to. I own a couple of the FLCL OSTs, and have downloaded a few tracks here and there off other soundtracks, like Azumanga Daioh, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Love Hina, etc. Normally when I come across an anime that has amazing music I'll hunt for it in stores when I have the cash or download it, but I haven't paid as much attention to music in animes as much as I should lately.
I can't get this OP stuck out of my head:

"Hito toshite Jiku ga Bureteiru"
by Kenji Ohtsuki feat
Fullmtal Alchemist OST (Absolutely beautiful stuff), Ouran High School Host Club OST (Lots of piano and strings, more classical. This IS the host club, after all =D)...
Yoko Kanno, Yuki Kaijura, and Motoi Sakuraba compose the majority of my anime soundtracks though.
.hack//SIGN, anything by Yoko Kanno, and Rurouni Kenshin (especially the 3rd OST).
And the pillows.
Yu Yu Hakusho 1st Album.
I don't like to watch .hack//ETC,
but the OST for those series are sooo good!
I have the Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi soundtrack volume 8. The songs became really boy-bandy, but they're still rather good.
I should learn to stop watching all those horrible bee-train-wrecks excuses for anime just because of their Yuki Kajiura soundtrack, and just grab the OST instead.
Also, I agree with >>13 on the Utena soundtrack, but just make sure you never ever read the translations.
On that note, since I feel like an asshole, I will add that

Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt OST is really awesome, few great techno songs by TeddyLoid.
Ever heard of the Case Files of Ryoko? I forgot the real name but the OST is sexy and jazzy. Totally fits the main character image (and btws, she's pretty hot...^_^)

NHK's soundtrack is the best shit ever.
More gaijin anime fans need to be like >>8. I actually have a lot of the soundtracks from his list. Paprika's OST also got me into collecting Hirasawa Susumu's music. Awesome shit. Still, for me it's far more about image albums and vocal collections than instrumental soundtracks — unless, of course, there's something especially awesome about the instrumentals.
I reached my 200 CD mark the other day with just over half of them being Jpop, Jrock, or anime. Plus I have a bunch of mix CDs and MP3s on my laptop. eBay, Half-Priced Books, the Internet, and a local dedicated anime store are to blame.
I'm excited about getting some new CDs at the anime store this weekend since they'll be on sale for Free Comic Book Day.
Necrobump to add that these days I'm mostly after OP/ED singles rather than full soundtracks. The Bakuman. OP "Blue bird" has so much audible sparkle and boyband-like qualities I tend to burst out giggling whenever I hear it.
Non Non Biyori has a pretty good soundtrack.
Which one is your favorite ?
