The thing I don't like about threads like these is they make Japan seem like a "racist country" when really Japan isn't necessarily more racist than any other country, and actually considerably more open and liberal than most. It has its particular brand of racism, so does Norwary, France, and Germany, and like everyone else's brand of "ethnic identity", it has both positive and negative aspects.
