I've always been kind of partial to Gingrich if only because you can tell something is going on in that head of his. It may be pure evil, but that's OK, at least it's something. You can't look at Romney and be sure that the wheels are turning in that pretty little skull of his. It was fairly obvious nothing was happening in Perry's head. Oh, things are happening in Santorum's head but they're constantly interrupted by flashbacks of twisted porn...

Palin is less than a dark horse because she's easily the number one reason why McCain performed so poorly in 2008. That she mobilized any particular base is a self-perpetuated myth. McCain's numbers dropped off and never recovered as soon as she was chosen. She still has no political experience and will drive away voters just like Santorum will. In the end, I guess it's up to the personal opinions of Republican delegates (God help us all).

Who else for a compromise? I heard Jeb Bush thrown around. Christie maybe?
