[Cyberspace] [4channel] Rule suggestions and criticism (5)

See Rule #2 on /politics/:
I think it's biased and wrong to not allow racist non-constructive posts but allow those with other opinions.
This the opposite of 8ch.net/pol/'s moderation.
Also Rule #1 has a typo: it should be 'start them off' not 'start the off'
I'm curious as to how long the rules have been in place.

This thread is on topic because internet politics is still politics
Maybe /req/ can be for technical discussion and the [4channel] tag here can be for moderation discussion?

Are you saying you want racist shitheads to be allowed to spam the board with "I hate nigger lol"? There are already many places on the internet that allow that sort of thing, so if you want that, why not go to one of those places?

not necessarily
2 options:

  1. allow shitposting of all opinions
  2. don't allow shitposting of any opinion

I'm pretty sure that second option is what rules 2 and 3 are all about:

> post well-reasoned arguments and do not just post the equivalent of "I hate nigger lol".
> Do not post a knee-jerk reaction to what somebody says, think things through and see if you can back up your statements with facts first.
