I know I'm not putting forward a particularly original opinion or saying anything all that new, but Death Note's so popular it confuses me. Since there seems to be a Death Note following on 4-ch I figured I'd at least try to get someone to enlighten me about what all the fuss is.

And magical girl is the ass end of anime. Shounen is just close.
