let's say they found 100 mp3 files that you "ILLEGALY downloaded".
now, let's say in court, they say you will be paying back 100$ for those 100 "stolen" mp3's.

out of 100 music files, atleast 35 has been played in radio or on TV musicstations... making them LEGAL to download
beacuse the download could be a LEGAL RIP from the TV or radio station.
( example: it's not illegal to download simpsons season 1 )
( example: it's not illegal to tape/record simpsons season 1 from TV, therefor it's legal to download a TV rip..)

out of 100 music files, atleast 10 of the songs you have on your harddrive, you have on a bought cd/vinyl/ or DVD.
NOTE:it's NOT illegal to make a rip of a cd you own unless you should share that file.. ( there is no fucking way they
could check that anyway ) looking and spying on what you do on the internet is illegal for anybody.. even the cops.

Today generation Bands put up their entire CD's on various music communities such as MYspace.. Nine inch nails 'for
example' put up the entire new CD on Myspace before it was released into the stores.. another example is weezers new
CD.
therefor.. it's SO FUCKING LEGAL to download the entire new Nine Inch Nails album beacuse you can rip it directly from
myspace.. legaly.. as legaly as you would rip any song from the radio or TV.. it could be a Myspace RIP you downloaded
..
atleast 20 out of 100 songs on your harddrive have been put up on some music community somewhere legaly..
