Warning, it'll be long, but I need serious advice at this point, so I'd like to ask you to read it through.

Ok, here's the exposition. I liked Girl 1 since beginning of last year, then Girl 2 came along and I fell idiotically in love with her. We broke up and I told the reason for the breakup only to Friend 1. Friend 1 isn't really friends with Girl 1. Friend 1 is my greatest friend, we have some shit behind us.

Thing is this. I broke up with Girl 2 in summer, Juni to be exact. I told Girl 1 couple of days ago how I like her and stuff. Anyway, that's kinda secondary because she told me that Friend 1 and a couple of other people told her about the reason why I and Girl 2 broke up. Now this sounds like drama, but I can neither see the reason why Friend 1 would tell her that nor do I see a reason why Girl1 should be be lying to me about it. It came totally out of nowhere with them having almost no connection to each other and I seriously don't know whom to believe. Thing is, seeing as Friend 1 is really a good friend from me, I of course don't believe her, but you know this thoughts that linger that tell you "what if?". I asked him about it, he denied it.

So far, I have no way to prove either thing. What should I do? I probably won't cut out the contact with either, because that would be just dumb. I'm also kinda torn, because 1 of those things just has to be true, either Girl 1 or Friend 1 lies, no middle ground.

So, fully aware that this is a drama bomb, should I pursue this issue, like questioning either of those 2 to maybe get some piece of truth certain? Or shall I forget about it entirely, repeat "Ignorance is bliss" and keep living happily with those 2?
