College (11)

My parents have long been telling me the sad truth, that I can't be anything I want to be, despite the teachings of my grade school teachers. The reason is that they can't afford to send me to college, and they are both still paying off their student loans. I'm a junior, so most things are off of the list, such as that one awesome $100,000 Intel scholarship. My friend and I are in the process of making a GPL game. But my grades are rather mediocre, and even if I apply myself this year, the best I’ll ever get is a 3.5 GPA, though I'm confident I'll get at least a 30 on the ACT. So I'm wondering, 4-ch: What the fuck should I do? I've saved up just enough to scrape through tech college, but I couldn't stand that. And since I’ve skipped a few grades, I will still be under 18 for a while and will be forced to going through tech college, or (god forbid) another year of high school. I’ve done a fair share of volunteering, done several non-athletic extra-curricular activities, and have generally done everything except achieve the grades that a typical scholarship receiver does. However, I also need to get out of my state and away from my parents. I have British citizenship, so I’m looking at colleges there, but what I’m really looking at is Caltech and some stuff in Hawaii. Can anyone give me advice about obtaining scholarships, what ones they recommend/got, and what colleges they recommend? And in general, what the fuck should I do?
