Well,... I guess that if you castrate them, there's no point in locking them up, right?

Anyway I don't think the point should be to exact revenge, but to prevent rapes from happening, and avoid rapers faulting again. Castration should improve further offenses, but it's the same problem as death penalty, you can't undo it, and it's pretty horrible if there was a judicial mistake, as there are bound to be. That's why I'm against bodily harm as a form of legal punishment.
