I thought of three films then actually looked at the ones you mentioned and realised I'm thinking differently to you, but I'll post the three anyway.
Mouchette: Girl in rural France, everything that could go wrong goes wrong.
Kairo/Pulse: J-horror but I shat way more brix at the fucking depressing/terrifying world than the regualr horror - which is really the point.
Shanghai Dreams: lol China sucks if you are poor.
I guess you're most likely to "enjoy" Kairo, provided you can deal with the slow pace, and least likely to "enjoy" Mouchette.
