DQN will go a lot more smoothly if we all lay out a comprehensive set of well thought out rules for everyone to follow.
Well? Rules, anyone?
2. Always respect people with a higher post count than you. They have been here longer and are more familiar with the way the board works.
3. Never disagree with the moderators. They're better than you.
4. Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed.
5. Discussion of sex, hentai, porn, beer, etc. is strictly disallowed. If it happens once you will be warned, repeated offenses will result in a ban.
6. No cursing. Please keep in mind that we have younger members.
7. Please limit discussion of fictional characters and real people to those 18 and over. Any discussion of legal children can be constituted as libel and/or written child porn.
8. Linking to any website that contains illegal material or can be used illegally, or to any website that links to a website whose linkage is prohibited by this rule, is not tolerated and will result in your IP# being reported to the FBI.
8.5. Linking to any other website will warrent a warning and eventually a ban.
9. Please do not use an avatar larger than 120×160 pixels or 200KB, and make sure than your signatures when viewed with a 800px. wide web browser do not exceed 350px in height or 500KB.
10. <b>TAGS</b> <i>should</i> <u>work</u>.
11. There is a link in every post labeled "Report a rules violation". Use it if you believe someone's post violates the forum rules, but treat it like a fire alarm. It is not to be used for anything other than to report rules violations. Please familiarize yourself with the rules prior to using it. Misuse of this link will result in your being suspended from posting on the forum for one week.
12. Personal attacks, rudeness, flaming, baiting, insults to others, or arguments will not be tolerated. Challenge others' points of view and opinions, but do so respectfully and thoughtfully. Any member who threatens anyone on the forum will be banned immediately without notice.
13. Posting in "DQN RULES" is strictly forbidden.
14. Posts need to stay on topic. - If you post a reply that is non relevant to the original topic, your post will be deleted. All posts are subject to editing, moving or deletion if deemed necessary.
15. Don't reply to off-topic posts - If someone is spamming the forums or posting off-topic, don't reply to it.
16. No spamming - This includes posting off topic, flooding the forum with your posts and double posting, Spam stands for sad, pointless annoying messages.
17. Do not create replica threads - Before creating new threads, please use the search function or manually look through the pages. Also when making a new thread have a sensible title so people know what your on about. i dont want to see threads titled 'help'
18. Requesting Closure of Threads - Do not request a thread to be closed unless you're the author of the thread.
19. Do not create additional accounts to bypass an issued ban. Circumventing of a ban using secondary / additional member accounts will result in a permanent banishment of all binding accounts from which the user has created*. Further abuse will lead to your ISP being informed for site abuse.
20. Please try and use proper grammar and spellings so people can understand exactly what you mean.
Registering allows you to build up a profile, get custom titles, and also submit a profile picture - just cool things that make your forum experience more personal and fun.

Administrators reserve the right to change any of your personal information - including your avatar, picture, and title - at any time. See rule 3. Complaining is a ban-worthy offense.
23. Users should respect the bandwidth of other users and sites. The use of inline image tags pointing to data stored on third party systems for which the user has not received permission to link to will result in a warning and eventually a ban of your IP address.
24. Users who feel they have been unfairly warned or banned are welcome to contact the Moderator team leader. If the Moderator team leader feel you were treated badly they will remove a warning or ban. If you feel the Moderator team leader is also unfair you may contact a Moderator group member. However, a decision at this level is final. Contacting Moderator group members over warning matters should be done so as a very last resort ... group members do not want to be bothered unless vital.
25. Don't forget that registration to this forum is free. It is a privilage not a right.
26. The Request forum is reserved to the active members of the community. Although we might make an exception for outstanding newbies, you are not to request access to the Request forum until you have attained "seek-o-holic" rank (850 posts). Please note that access is not granted automatically, you must request it by sending a PM to FiREaNGEL or [DKR]Steff (allow for 3 days before sending the request again)
27. Users are Legally Responsible and Liable for Posts
You agree that you are fully responsible and legally liable for the content that you post or made through the use of your name and password. If your password is lost, you may generate a new password by clicking the "Lost Password" button in the forum. If it is stolen, contact The New Republic by e-mail immediately.
28. We have zero tolerance for those who harass or victimise other members in any way; racism, hatred related posts, retaliation, the spreading of rumours or harassing members via e-mail or private messenger.
fucking jews.
29. No celebration threads. Making a thread about a religious holiday will only hurt your fellow users. Doing so results in a ban.
30. Questions the members of the organization, the owners, the hosts, the company that created the board software, or any related entity is subject to a ban.
31. Posts are carefully watched and miscreants are reported to the authorities.
32. Reading the rules is forbidden.
33. Click HERE to enter the forum. (Link hidden to ensure that the rules were read.)
ADDENDUM
2. If you break more than one rule, the punishments will stack up to a maximum of 2 months, or a permanent ban if neccessary. If a sentencing length is 10 days or less, it is a mute, otherwise, it can either be a temporary or permanent ban.
3. No Threatening to Leave the Board - Due to past experiences on the board, I have had to add this rule. You may not make posts threatening to leave the board. This causes flaming to occur. Because of what a problem this is, I cannot issue a warning for violations. Anyone responding poorly to these threads will also be muted.
4. 3 Strikes System: If you violate the rules of this forum once, you will get a warning sent to you via PM. If you break the rules again, your avatar and signature will be disabled permanently. If you break the rules a third time, the administration will discuss harsher measures.
5. The purpose of these rules is to avoid unnecessarily offending members and to maintain our larger goal of maintaining a professional site governed by a community spirit. We recognize that many may believe the rules are too strict, while others may prefer that they were even more severe.
No attempt to formulate rules can be successful in covering all possible problems or abuses of the privilege of membership. The administrators and moderators retain the discretion to take appropriate action with respect to posts that in their judgment are detrimental to the goals of forum and its members.
END OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
How to Apply These Rules to Your Own Board
If you create a new board, and you want it to be of the greatest possible use to the public, the best way to achieve this is to make it a free board which everyone can read and post on under these rules.
To do so, attach the following notices to the board. It is safest to attach them to the start of each HTML page to most effectively convey the exclusion of warranty; and each file should have at least the copyright line and a pointer to where the real notice is found.
<one line to give the board's name and a brief idea of what it does.>
Administrators: <list of administrators>
Moderators: <list of moderators>
This is a free board; you can read it and/or post on it under the
terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free
Software Foundation; either version 2 of the License, or
(at your option) any later version.
This board is made available in the hope that it will be useful,
but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty that
OBSCENE, ILLEGAL, OR OFFENSIVE POSTS WILL BE REMOVED. See the GNU
General Public License for more details.
You should have received a copy of the GNU General Public License
along with this board; if not, write to the Free Software
Foundation, Inc., 69 DQN Place, Suite 330, Boston, MA 02111-1307 USA
Also add information on how to contact you by PM and on Skype.
This General Public License does not permit incorporating your board into proprietary boards. If your board is a subroutine library, you may consider it more useful to permit linking proprietary applications with the library. If this is what you want to do, use the GNU Library General Public License instead of this License.
Note: The administrators of this forum reserve the right to change the rules at any time. If you think you've found a way to get around a rule, don't bother, it will be changed just for you. You are expected to know and abide by these rules as posted.
Note 2: Respect rules written by respected members as if they were written by the staff. Users with 7500+ posts can't be wrong.
If you'd like to be a moderator please send a photocopy of your drivers license to

5000+ posts only. Please wait for a few weeks, before we consider this position for you.
Alternatively, you can call (areacode) 867-5309 to apply.
$1.29 a minute. 18+ only, please. Get parent's or billpayer's permission before calling.
Regarding postcounts
Administrators may only decrease postcounts. Requesting for a higher postcount will result in the resetting of your postcount.
Do not try to improve your postcount by using unfair tricks, such as:
Such abuse will be punished.
To improve your postcount, please participate in the community. Remember that as soon as your postcount reaches 50 (forum junky), you can access the "Community Center" forum, where you may participate in threads like the Word Association thread, which can definitely help you to build a legitimate postcount.
You are also allowed to buy posts. Please use the aforementioned contact information to order. The base price is $2 USD per post, but buying in bulk (3000+) will reduce the price by -30%.
DQN Points, DP, is the "currency" of the DQN forums There are many different ways you can get DP, the most basic of which being posting. There are a lot of things you can do with your DP, and that list is only going to increase with time. Some examples are:
Of course, with a little creative thinking and imagination, you can find many more uses than are mentioned here...
Minor Rules
Breaking these rules may result in a suspension, but not a ban.
(If you bump an thread that is older than 2 weeks, it will be locked by the admins and you may be warned.)
Any portraits that are posted must be upside down.
3. No misspelling. I don't CARE if your house is on fire, you always have enough time to spellcheck before posting.
Inappropriate Nicks
* Nicks with sexual references/innuendoes (examples: 69, ho, trick, pimp, booty, sexy, freaky, hotty, naughty)
* Hate or racial nicks (examples: KKK, porchmonkey, coon)
* Gang related nicks (example: gangsta, thug, folk)
* Nicks with God, Satan, or 666. Also no nicks flaming other religions.
* Nicks with drug or alcohol references (examples: 420, blunt, joint)
* Nicks that contain curse words or other inappropriate words.
* Nicks trying to impersonate a sysop or duplicate a sysop's nick (example: donny (sysop), mizzydizzy1)
First rule: You do not talk about DQN.
Second rule: You do NOT talk about DQN.
Third rule: You laugh at ALL jokes made by a staff member unless a higher ranking member tells you that it isn't funny.
>>51 got it all wrong.
Don't fucking get friendly with me now!!!
Disrespecting MODD is a federal offense.
"Disrespect" isn't a verb.
Im glad Captain Obvious was banned, that guy was a real asshole.
Yeah, I know! MODD, is it okay if we laugh at him behind his back?
>>58 has been placed under permanant-ban status for breaking rules 1, 6, 13, and 20
>>59 has been placed under indefinate-suspenion status for breaking rule 30
>>61 broke rule 20. Fucking hypocrites. I hate you all and I hate this fucking board. >_<

IMPORTANT-READ CAREFULLY
This website contains standard so-called “Red Book”-compliant audio files that can be played on any standard CD player, including those contained in many personal home computer systems. As an added feature, this website also enables you to convert these audio files into digital music files and/or may also contain other already existing digital content (such files and content, collectively, the “DIGITAL CONTENT”), any of which may be stored on the hard drive of a personal home computer system owned by you (“YOUR COMPUTER”) and accessed via YOUR COMPUTER or certain approved, compatible portable devices owned by you (each, an “APPROVED PORTABLE DEVICE”).
Before you can play the audio files on YOUR COMPUTER or create and/or transfer the DIGITAL CONTENT to YOUR COMPUTER, you will need to review and agree to be bound by an end user license agreement or “EULA”, the terms and conditions of which are set forth below. Once you have read these terms and conditions, you will be asked whether or not you agree to be bound by them. Click “AGREE” if you agree to be bound. Click “DISAGREE” if you do not agree to be bound. >DIGITAL CONTENT on YOUR COMPUTER
DIGITAL CONTENT? ON MY COMPUTER?!?!?
It's more likely than you think.
Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct outlines the general policies used in moderating News and Message Boards. Our COC tries to promote the best quality discussions possible, while maintaining the least restrictive environment we can. We reserve the right to remove any post that we consider disruptive or inappropriate, even if that post is not specifically forbidden by our published rules. All of our moderators are unpaid volunteers and are selected from the board membership.
Moderators have a responsibility to:
Encourage posters to stay on-topic
Treat all posters equally and with respect
Try to leave as much of the original post in place as possible when editing content
Be cautious, think first, then delete later if certain
Leave a comment in the post to explain what was deleted/edited, why, and by whom
If a member has been affected, send them a Private Message to inform them of the situation
Edit, split, merge, or rename a post or thread when they deem that the overall usability of the forum is improved
Board Members have a responsibility to:
Be aware of the policies of the Code of Conduct and the Terms of Use
Watch for Forum Specific Announcements and Stickies: If special rules apply to a particular forum, they will be posted in an Announcement or Sticky at the top of that forum. You are responsible for looking for, reading and abiding by those notices. Please read our Forum Tutorial to familarize yourself with our posting options and functions.
Select the most appropriate Forum in which to post your message. Try to make sure someone else has not already started a discussion on the same subject before you post. If someone has already started a discussion/topic on a particular subject or article, please post your information in a reply instead of starting a new topic. Make sure that your subject line is clear and will help others understand what your topic is about without requiring it be opened and read.
Avoid flaming and ad hominem attacks within the regular forums. If you have some complaint about a particular thread and wish to flame the object of your derision, please do so in the Hall of Flames. One intent defined by our conduct policies tries to limit "off-topic" posts as much as possible so that the threads stay informative and clear. Flaming and ad hominem attacks are most definitely off-topic. While a certain amount of “off-topic” posting is tolerated, we try hard to manage the most excessive cases for the benefit of the whole forum.
The following post content is subject to edit/deletion:
Nudity, partial nudity, or adult content: This includes any explicit images as well as language describing sex acts or erotica.
Graphic content: Images which depict graphic violence or illness should not be used. Graphic detail in text is also discouraged. Do not post linked in graphics/photos more than 450 pixels wide or long URL’s that cause the page view to widen and necessitates the reader to scroll.
Unnecessary text quotation: If you wish to quote a post or article, do not quote the entire post/article. Only include the part of the post text to which you are responding. With articles, post a short paragraph and provide a link.
Copyrighted material: All comments are the responsibility of the poster. Posters have a responsibly to obey copyright laws for their home nation and state. Please do not post entire copyrighted articles. If you wish to reference an article, provide a short, quoted excerpt with a link back to the original source.
Repetitive messages: This includes cross-posting, flooding, and spamming
Unsolicited advertisements: This includes offering goods, services, employment, or soliciting donations. This also includes advertising for a website. If you have something to sell, please contact an administrator and buy a banner.
Messages devoid of content: This includes posts with nonsense characters (ie. flksdhf). This also includes posts with a single word or only containing emoticons. This includes posts on "why was my post deleted", off-topic posts and images, thread-jacking, complaining about links, unedited reposts, repeated moderator evasion, and trolling.
Messages exhorting others to commit illegal acts: Murder, extortion, and any other felony are expressly forbidden. Threads and posts advocating suicide will be edited or deleted without notice. DOS attacks, hacking, flooding, and all other related computer crimes are also unacceptable. Also included in this is harassment -- for example, encouraging people to call someone on the phone, flood a website/mailbox, etc because they were mentioned in a linked article.
Messages containing only broken links or broken images
Repeatedly reposting something that was deleted by a moderator
Response to violations of the Code of Conduct:
Violations of the Code of Conduct will be addressed by either a Courtesy Warning or a Formal Warning through our Private Message system.
Violators of the CoC that have been issued two Formal Warnings will be followed by a temporary ban of at least 1 week for a third offense. Continued violations following a temporary ban will receive similar warnings, followed by a permanent ban from the site for a third offense. Whether a violation warrants a Courtesy or Formal Warning will be at the discretion of the Moderators. Temporary bans are final. Permanent bans may be appealed to the site owner and administrator.
Moderator warnings:
Moderator warnings are to be respected. This is considered a more egregious offense than violations of the COC. Members who choose not to acknowledge moderator warnings, or who show lack of respect for the moderators, will be immediately banned for 2 weeks for Moderator Evasion.
Do not publicly accuse the moderators or administrators of bias. Do not publicly post correspondence you receive from moderators and administrators. If you have an issue that needs to be addressed, please contact the website administrator by sending a private message or e-mail.
1- if no one has replied to your previous new threads, do not make more new threads.
2- if people repeatedly reply to you with 'what the hell are you talking about' or 'shut up' or other phrases implying that what you have to say is not contributing at all, you should probably stop making new threads saying those things.
3- this is not a 00bergeek forum. one thread about movie or series triviais fine. IF more than 1 person on the forum contributes to it. if you're the only fan of star trek here, DON'T MAKE A SERIES OF THREADS DEVOTED TO IT OR YOU WILL BE LAUGHED AT :D
4- use coherant sentances. this is a lax rule, but consider this- if we can't understand what the hell you have to say, it won't help if you say it :D
5- self mockery is fantastic. dude, mock yourself to your hearts content.
6- mockery of others should probably be done in good humor, because guess what omfg we don't like huge flame wars. but the people who come here tend to be pretty relaxed anyway so flame bait is usually not picked up. if you're new, don't mock others.
7- don't post chatlogs. SUMMURIZE what the chat was about. if it was an inside joke, nobody cares. if it was actually relevant to a discussion or had a good insight, nobody wants to read through 30 lines of irrelevant fluff to reach that valid point.
8- if someone has a special pretty icon and name (ie, pixel whippin tamago, food what thinks or flapping lunch) they are an ADMIN and you should probably not FUCK WITH THEM.
9- this is not a ROFLKJDSLFKSD RANDOM forum. sometimes we do quick topic changes, and you should roll with it. because that new topic is now the topic. you shouldn't think randomly derailing topics is okay. derailing a topic is essentially treated like posting a new thread. if you keep doing it and people keep ignoring it or telling you to stop, stop doing it.
10- image wars have an unspoken rule that i can't believe i'm writing. you post ONE IMAGE PER POST, and people replying should likewise post ONE IMAGE. they should be WEIRD IMAGES that force someone to try to 'top' them. naturally lemonparty, tubgirl and goatse are cheap shots and if you use them you automatically lose. image wars are not pornographic. they are supposed to be silly.
11- you are not FORCED to be nice to eachother here. you can not report someone for calling you a meanie or saying your art sucks. why? because half the time they might be being sarcastic. welcome to the internet, where typing makes it hard to tell who's serious. you should have a thicker skin. just because a stranger on the internet said 'burn in hell' doesn't mean you're hated and shouldn't come back.
12- no cockfights. this board is not chicken-proof nor spur proof and i don't want to clean up the feathers.
13- if you wind up with two or more threads moved to the wank forum because of you, it means you have a tendency to start drama. if you STILL start drama expect a ban coming your way soon. this is called 'damage control'. in otherwords, if three flame wars crop up as a direct result of your posts and you fan the flames, it's not wise for the board admins to let you keep doing it and they will forceably stop you.
14- if you START threads in the wank forum (ie, you found a lord of the rings wank and wanted to share the link and talk about it) that's fine. however, starting a thread in the wank forum like I KICK PUPPIES and trying to start wank itself is not okay and will be treated like rule number 13.
15- READ. oh my god, you are using the internet! a medium consisting primarily of written word! READ IT. if you're in a thread where people are complimenting eachother and then one person jokingly goes 'yeah but you are also a cocksucker' can you read the context? the context is 'this is a joke.' if you lack reading comprehension you WILL wind up being banned. because if i let people who fail to READ run around a place where we communicate through WRITTEN WORD that would just be stupid. so BE CAPABLE OF READING.
Please remember that material taken from web pages, newspapers, magazines, etc. is copyrighted (and remains copyrighted even if you get it from a third party, e.g. in an email message from a friend or mailing list) and may not be posted without permission from the actual owner of the copyright.
Permission must be included with the post.
By posting a message to this message board, you are irrevocably authorizing the royalty-free use of that message or edited material from that message in our newsletters, mailing lists, announcement lists, web sites and other online venues.
If you apply for membership and your screen name is nearly identical to an existing member (i.e. if there is currently a member named HappyDude and you apply as HappyDood) you will be denied access until you choose a new nonsimilar name.
DO use your real name when posting messages.
DO check back in a day or so to see if your question has been answered.
DO remember to thank anyone who took the time to answer your question.
DO NOT post any of the following: serial numbers, license numbers, passwords, phone numbers, advertisements, or spam.
Don't post nonsense and gibberish. Don't waste people's time by spieling off nonsense prose or other forms of brainless rambling. While we all have a sense of humour, material that's completely devoid of intelligence, thought or wit, does not belong on these boards.

should say 'e.g.' and not 'i.e.'. kids these days, don't even know the latin expressions they're using...
Do not travel the boards looking for people who you feel are breaking rules so you can tell them off. Do not copy-paste quote sections of the rules at people. Do not warn people of the rules when they first arrive - that can be insulting. If someone is being a nuisance on the board, and a moderator is aware of the situation, consider backing off. Goading and provoking troublemakers takes control of the situation away from the moderator and makes their role more difficult.
You are not permitted to post anything, that contains, links to, or is related to and of the following: Uncensored/Censored Profianity, Sexually-related words/phrases/lingo/symbols, race, politics, war, illegal content, pornography, or any contetnt that could be offensive to guests/employees of ths site.

How NOT to post on this forum:
5 minutes after your initial post you reply to your own post writing something like "Why is nobody helping me? I'm sure you know the answer". Once somebody replies to your thread but doesn't give you exactly the answer you've been expecting you insult them.
The official language is English. Outside the /nihongo/ forum English is the only allowed language.
what awaits you if you don't stick to the forum rules
Each moderator can report you for violating a forum rule. Such a report contains a timestamp, the forum rule you violated and the post in question. Such a report will result in you getting a "strike". The report will point out the number of strikes left until will be suspended (more about that later) A violation of rules 4 or 6 will result in two strikes (per offense) rather than one, because we feel that violating them does serious harm to this community. As in baseball "3 strikes and you're out", though in this case the 3 strikes have to occur within a month's time or they will be forgotten. A suspension involves the following:
* No access to user profiles
* Modification of the user profile is disabled
* Posting is disabled
* Downloading attachments is disabled
* Private messaging is disabled
After 30 days of suspension your account will be reinstated as we believe everybody should get a second chance. The strike list will start from zero again. If a member should continue to violate forum rules and gets suspended once more his/her account will be terminated without further notice.
For Admins and Moderators:
1) No abusing admin/moderator powers.
2) Interpretation of all rules is at the Moderator/Admin in question's discretion.
3) An Admin can always override a Moderator, and the Root Admin has the final say in all matters if neccessary.
Each rule has a penalty value (a, b or c). These are as follows:
a - This is not a serious offence, but is still breaking the forum rules. Unless you are a serious repeat-offender, you should be given quite a lot of warning before you are penalized.
b - This is quite a serious breach of the forum rules, and you will only get one chance (if that) before you are given a Warning Level increase.
c - If you break one of these rules, the Moderator will immediately consult an Admin (and may suspend you). If you cannot explain yourself, serious sanctions will be taken.
In most cases of a and b offences, you will get a 1 WL (Warning Level) increase when you have run out of chances. The difference is that with a offences, you get quite a few warnings, whilst b offences give you perhaps only one warning.
c offences are different. They can result in anything up to a ban, and depend on the rule broken or the circumstances.
Your WL total does decrease over time. If after about 1-2 weeks you have not broken any further rules, you will probably lose 1 WL. If you have more than 1, you will lose them at this rate (about 1 every two weeks).
You can get up to 3 WL in total. If you exceed 3 at one time, I will be contacted, and serious action will be taken.
If you would like to appeal against any sanctions, please post in the Appeals forum.
Do not 'troll', flame, or flame war. Ignorance of what these terms mean is not an acceptable excuse.
Post consisting entirely of things such as 'yeah', 'yes', 'heh' and 'cool' are not constructive and often add little or no value to the topic. Please refrain from posting these forms of posts.
Posting solely to increase your post count will not be permitted. There's no reason to do this anyway. There are no privileges attached to post counts.
17. Finally, members are expected to enjoy their visits to this forum. We do this because we love DQN, and we want you to love DQN too. The rules are pretty strict, but we do this so that the forums can be an enjoyable, helpful and fun place to visit. Stick to the rules and have fun!

where'd you get that list?
be civil, people~ I personally am all loving - I ban people of every race, color, whatever you can think of.
dont care what people you are and what rights you have to be racist or whatever. Ill just kill this thread if the crowd here just isnt smart enuf for it (as expected~)
2. Flaming/flagrant "fanboism"/etc. will not be tolerated.
3. Threads should not devolve into flamewar. Constructive criticisms are both allowed and welcomed. Inciting or encouraging such activity will not be tolerated.
4. All posts should pertain to video games, their consoles, etc. Threads should remain on topic and stay in theme with the board. Don't post errant material.
5. Please refrain from reposting. If possible, try to skim the board for threads pertaining to your topics/info that may have already been posted.
6. Game help and long-term discussions should be posted to world4ch's /games/ board. Threads on world4ch are not pruned, and the code is better suited for text as opposed to image-posting.
Rules
Rules are (perhaps sadly) needed everywhere, and this forum is no exception! These rules are very important and must be adhered to at all times in every area of the website. Not only are internet watchdogs kept happy by them, but they ensure smooth running and safety for all our users. Breaching these rules is considered very serious, so the action taken by the forum staff is likely to be severe! You have been warned!
Underage content: Underage content is defined as anything relating to any person under the age of 18. There are underage people here so observations or posts relating to them are not banned. However, there must be NO sexual connotation of any kind.
Overage content: Overage content is defined as anything that would be suitable for a rating above PG in the cinema. As this is an open forum, any post containing such content MUST contain information to that effect and the extent of it in the thread title. There should be no posts made with overage content in a thread with a title that does not specify its presence. Users should start new threads if they wish to take a discussion into that domain. Users under the age of 18 should not enter topics designated for those over the age of 18 only and certainly should not post inside them.

9. No time restriction on forum searches.
10. Priority support with any and all forum issues.
Users who have reached at least Poster status may create blogs hosted at the forum. Users who have reached at least Newbie status may post links to external blogs, and read blogs belonging to other users. The staff appreciate that blogs are personal but the same rules apply to blogs as to the forum in general. More explicitly on a few issues:
Try to make more than one-liner posts, as this is a professional site and therefore content is often king. One line can not be seen as content.

MAJOR BOARD ANNOUNCEMENT
OKAY, OKAY! Please, STOP emailing me, PMing me, and CALLING me about this. No, Squeeks is NOT real. He was made by registered forum members as a mascot character, that's all. You cannot get in touch with Squeeks by bothering me! He doesn't "live" with me, because he isn't real!
From now on, ALL board members who ask me ONCE how they can contact Squeeks will lose 3 karma and 3 user levels. A second attempt takes 5 more karma and levels, along with their avatar and signature. Three and posting rights are also removed for a month. One final offense earns you a ban, forever.
Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT ask me how you can find Squeeks. You will NOT be happy with the results.
I'm an alien who implanted a piece of metal in >>1's body.
The other day I visited the earth, abducted >>1 as a sample of the earthlings. I tampered with his body to gather data of the earthlings.
But I made a terrible mistake.
>>1's fat body is a nonstandardized article as an earthling.
He is unemployed, and on top of that he has no friends.
All day long he is sitting in front of the personal computer, clattering clattering, clattering the keyboard.
I am fed up with this job.
Boss from mother planet yelled at me for this failure.
He said, "Select your specimen more carefully!"
This is the first penalty I get since I have been assigned to The Earth Observation Party.
The human mutilation is not easy task.
Next year I am demoted to the charge of the cattle mutilation.
I am just about to go to The Area 51.
As for >>1, I leave him entirely up to you. Do as you like.

Thread necromancy is to be punished with seven days imprisonment in the stocks, with public floggings every day at noon.
What about thread necrophilia?

REASON: Thread Necromancy
Stupid mods.
MODD = FAGG
Rule 1&2: Every time you hear someone talk about anything even remotely related to DQN, you have to tell them they're breaking rules 1&2. This makes you cooler than them.
Rule 4: If you overhear someone talking about Rule 1&2, you have to insist it applies only to raids. This makes you even coolerer.
Subsequent rules up to 33 should be one-ups on people who invoke the previous rule.
I've saved Rule 3 for personal reasons.
Rule 3: rules saved for longer than 5 days will be recycled
Rule 3: Don't visualize anything you read here.
Example: 2 goatse 1 cup.
2 girls 1 cup challenges tubgirl to a game of battleshits
DOHOHO
Anti-Dance Rule: Thread necromancy is allowed if it's expressly used to catch dancers in old threads.
>>139
I see you
>>140
You're just necrobumping to push other threads off the main page.
>>141
I had no sinister goal in mind when I bumped this thread, unless you consider pointing out thread dancers sinister.
You should use Peter Suber's Nomic as the structure for the rules.
