NEW YORK ― Burger King Corp said Friday that it will return to the Japanese market in 2007 after a five-year absence. Burger King Corp CEO John Chidsey said the company will tie up with Lotte Co and Revamp Corp, which will operate the fast food outlets under license agreement.
They plan to open 100 Burger King stores over five years from 2007. Chidsey said Japan is important to Burger King's international development strategy. Burger King has more than 11,000 outlets around the world, of which 90% are franchises. Burger King pulled out of Japan in 2001 in the wake of weak sales and a price war with McDonalds.
U.S. doughnut brand Krispy Kreme is also heading for Japan, Lotte and Revamp having already opened their first such store in Tokyo on Friday.

Can we have MOS Burger in America nao plox?
Coincidentally, I'm heading out for a burger RIGHT NOW.
I lost soooo much weight when I came to university, thanks to not eating very well (due to lack of money and cooking skills) combined with a lot of hard drug use. I still have a wee paunch but my girl says she likes it anyway...
Fat people are essential to societies with state-run pension systems, and sometimes great to societies with socialist medicine.
Since they drop dead 15 years earlier than thinner people who eat health food and use the gym, that means that over time the actual number of doctor visits lower, and the amount of time qualified to receive a state-funded pension is up to 15 years less as well.
It's not OK to be fat.
However, it is OK to necropost a bunch of forgotten threads.
