The consensus seems widely in favour of random kaomoji. As >>58 says, there are a lot of crappy ones too. With this in mind maybe choosing from a list randomly (as opposed to purely generating) might be better. I'll see what I can do, but it would be cool if I can make a decent generating script.

As you know, change comes fast, but I'll get around to it soon enough.

While I have your attention, are there any other changes that you think should be made to DQN, or Channel4 in general?

Some things I had in mind:

1. captcha to work without cookies enabled
2. possibly even removing captcha all together? this would kill the captcha thread, though
3. quoting post references, e.g. if >>73 quotes this post then a little >>73 will appear somewhere in the top/bottom of this post. possibly also an "all" link? I think WAHa.06x36 already implemented this on his /sup/ board in some capacity.
4. there's also the possibility of JavaScripting some floating posts in when you hover over post links, like some 2ch boards do already. of course I will only do it if it is as unintrusive as possible.
5. should some of the old threads in DQN be moved to the archive? posting is a bit sluggish at the moment. (side note: I need to figure out how the archival scripts work first, but this shouldn't be too hard)

I can't remember what else I was thinking about anymore, but it will come to me later.
