This is another film US will remake and release in the USA. Remaking a film makes the film loose its originality ;also less people will actually give credit to the Japanese for making good movies.
If you can please post your thoughts on "remakes". Thank You!!
Foreign films in the US are not blockbusters. The new one will suck. Bad acting, change the plotline, change the characters around, and be loosely based on the orginal.
It will suck. Like 'Shall we dance' and 'The Ring'.
:/
frankly, usa remake usually sucks
how was Lake House? heard it was based offa a korean movie. no idea tho
it was, Il Mare was teh name. by the way, im not korean, my neighbor is and she has to remind me of it every fucking day.
That doesn't mention a remake, it says that the movie will be released in the US.
I found the japanese acting pain to watch. I welcome a remake of this somewhat interesting story
OP you tricked us!
i agree, american remakes are usually crap... i think they change too much of the fundementals just to try and sell it better to their audience of americans. just wrecks the original's name...however good it was...

Get over yourselves. Just because the remake isn't exactly like the original doesn't necessarily make the original the best. Give me one example why "The Ring" and "Shall We Dance" were "crap".
However, I will admit that re-makes are never quite as good as the original. But, then again, they're not really complete "remakes", merely adaptations. My final opinion: The Densha Otoko adaptation probably won't be as good as the original but will have its own charm.

"Shall We Dance" had Jennifer Lopez. Enough said.
"The Ring" was crap because it lost all of the creepiness that the Japanese excel at portraying in their media.

1.) True, very true.
2.) Well, it did use a more "shock-horror-ZOMG WTF WAS THAT?!!" style of horror. So, I suppose I can give you credit there.
But does anyone actually have a SOURCE saying there will be a remake? All the links just talk about the Japanese movie coming out on DVD in english.
