Hi everyone. it seems some people here live in HK sar, so maybe you can answer me this question.

I am going to study in Hongkong from september to December. After that, I plan to spend about two weeks in Japan. What is the cheapest way to get there? should I go by boat? via mainland China and then Shanghai-Osaka? or rather plane? I found a retour for E400, which struck me as a lot of money.

Furthermore, what places should I definitely visit? I've got akihabara on my list in Tokyo, and want to travel around a bit through the country (there's this train pass which is pretty cheap). I both wanna see some neat culture (BUT NOT NOH!!!), cool architecture, but also modern day Japan. What can you advise me?

oh.. oh.. maybe you can also tell me what places definitely to visit in HK. And how not to get eaten by the sharks on the beach :s. thx
