After 2 months of enjoying my holidays and being generally lazy, I went weightlifting again. And, as I predicted, I start to feel the lazy muscles getting active again. Now I know that I will walk around tomorrow acheing everywhere.
How can I prevent tomorrow's feeling of living in a world of pain?
You can't prevent it, but you can lessen the pain. Your muscles have to get used to being worked hard again. Stretch before you lift. This will ease the soreness, but you'll just have to grin and bear it. I'd also recommend stretching afterwards. Depending on how often you workout, the soreness could only last a week.
I hope you stretch and lift properly. Too many people don't, yet I can't put my finger on how they're more buff than me. I guess it's just my body type.
Before making a new thread, check to see if there's a related one you can post to.

It's better to post a thread with a general topic such as exercizing or weight lifting then make a whole thread for one little question within those topics.
Good luck with your lifting!
Enjoy the pain.
The pain is a reminder of that you did good. >>4 is wise.
Ah well, sorry for making an new thread just for the question. And now I feel like only lieing still in my bed. ARggh, the paaaain :)
Yeah if I stop playing DDR (yes I am hardcore) for a few months and try at it again, my legs get painfully stiff for a few days. But now I've learned to stop playing before that sets in.
