Was looking for more textboards and found a link to this on Allchan.
I've been here for a while. I visit twice a year.

I'm conflicted about this. The sudden influx of our new friends, which seemed like a raid at first made the board lively too (gj moot with closing dis).
Maybe we should be more tolerant towards millenials and restrain from practicing the usual get off my lawn.
Perhaps few of them would do the same in return - suppress their natural urge for lawn stomping (ie youtube comment style memeing, trivial baits like /pol/ing and jewniggering, gamergating or whatever it is today) and keep it to DQN.
If they have the attention span to actually read text, I'm sure they can manage to lurk for a while too (there are still some 10+ years old threads left, many of which contain "chan culture" landmarks worth exploring/desecrating).

A heavily mutated splinter group form what I can tell, their textboard had a very low quality overall.
But whatever, for other people here I'm a "DQN" at best and I should just take the AA chars and leave while I can.

I don't remember, it's been on and off for years, but never very regularly until after 4chan's dis boards shut down. It seems like this place has been getting a lot more active over the past month or two though, or is that just me paying less attention and not noticing the regular activity?

Just found it randomly through google like 5 minutes ago.
I saw a list of Imageboards/textboards and this was on it so I clicked on it.
I was on 4chan's /qa/, and someone opened a thread asking what other imageboards people use. One guy said 1chan and mentioned it uses the original futallaby from 2chan still, so I went thread. I clicked overchan on accident, saw 4-ch near the top and noticed that it's textboard only. I like textboards, especially 2ch's layout, so I clicked it, and now here I am.
Using google to search for english textboards because I wanted something new and had enough of imageboards.

I was looking for free BBS for a website on Google, then found Kareha/Wakaba which led me here. Glad to have found 4-ch, I love that it emulates the 2ch format.
I think I found it before I found 4chan, somehow. That was almost a decade ago. It kind of feels like it hasn't changed much, which is nice.
I can't remember, maybe I was researching something like squeeks or daddy cool

I found it via 4chan almost a decade ago as far as I remember. I used to regularly spend time here, but then I quit spending time at 4chan, 2channel, and 4channel, though I left 4channel later than 4chan and 2channel. I don't even use facebook. It's been really nice to see this place still up here every few years when I've had a look at it for nostalgia's sake. Kind of the only internet home I ever got really attached to.

it was occasionally linked in a 'troll' IRC channel i used ot go on many many years ago because of the extreme images on /b/. after a while i checked out the site and found it pretty fun. I was probably underage at that point.
Underaged edgy kid who wanted to be "cool" back in the day. Thinking about it, it's pretty silly, but pretty worth it at the same time.

Anyways, I found this site because someone linked in on 4chan. No, I don't remember the context but it was probably in a thread bitching about newfags.
I searched for an English version of 2ch after Steins Gate came out. Found this place and lurked about a year. I mainly use Heyuri nowadays but I stay here because it’s slower, higher quality posts and /dqn/ of course.
I learned about it from a website called AllChans. I was happy to see a website that actually used Kareha.
