Do you know what I am talking about? Do you feel it in you? Do you see in others? A difference in development?
I am growing increasingly suspicious I have a delay in a sense of developed self and this gap is smaller, but my suspiousness is that it was pretty much just me
most have matured selves or not?
Don't worry, nobody develops in the textbook way. We all have our strengths and weaknesses.

You're better off not comparing yourself to others.
If possible, surround yourself with people that are better than you and are willing to teach or help you

Like a failure in developing independence and maybe critical thinking in the child. Then child grows up into an adult who deals with a lot of problems and has unrealistic expectations from others and the world.
