I'll cut right to the chase with this one; are these thread templates siphoning all of the energy stored in the DQN community?

They're probably the only reason there's activity there in the first place. To some extent, you're going to need a place for discussions and idle posting, so the other threads can be kept clean.

can this site admin handle more people tho? Original 2ch handles all of japan, but you will have to handle all of the world.

The English speaking world doesn't care about textboards. It's easy to find imageboards that are dedicated to any subject you can think of while textboards are more obscure. It's no different to usenet newsgroups that were the inspiration for the birth of textboards.

Reddit has already taken the role of the dominant english-speaking forum, even if 4-ch were to explode in popularity for some absurd reason it would never ever come close to that.
