2chan is about as dead as 4chan. The nijiura boards are just 2D porn dump threads with a lot of posters just submitting images with no text. Some of the more discussion orientated boards are about as active as a small altchan. Other than whatever it is otakus are tapping too, you won’t learn anything from that site.
