i'm thinking around $10 worth will give me a good start off. also just give me any advice so i dont get ripped off or shit
10 bucks isn't much but it'll do.

Do you have any friends who smoke it? Before you spend your money, talk to them about it, and see if they will smoke you out. This way you can find out if you really enjoy it. If you do, they may also be able to set you up with a stable source, so you don't have to walk around looking for a pimply-faced teenager to sell you a dime bag and potentially get busted in the act.

measureing in dollar amounts is fail. $5 dollars is a gram only if u assume regs or crypie. a gram of G13 will cost $15-$30. Quality determines price. Unless you have a very nice dealer. I would star off with about 2 grams of silver haze. roughly $25

The OP was speaking in dollar amounts, too. Not everyone has access to crazy mad varieties of weed all the time. Most dealers can get you regs or chronic. Some kind of kush if you're lucky.

I mean, I've been smoking for about ten years, and I've had several different dealers since I move around a bit. That being said, most dealers I've had will ask if I want regs or chronic.

Seriously though, don't look at weed as a hobbie, unless you're talking about growing weed (if that's the case, go hog wild. There may be a secret grower's club in your area which you will find a useful resource).
Instead, look at it as a very special experience, and perhaps even a tool to understand other things.

i've smoked a little bit. but about 30 min ago, oh man! i went to my friend (neighbor) place and he has a great collection on bongs. i smoked maybe 5-6 bowls and i'm feelin it. me and my bud started having this huge indepth convo about just to most random ass shit. like, why do unicorns have just one horn, and we jsut went on for a long ass time talking about unicorns. god i love those pretty mother fuckers... why do you guys think they have horns?
How do y'all clean your glassware? I recently moved and gave all of my old smokin' shit away to my friends, and the other day at the head shop I picked up a bubbler. The thing is a mess; I feel like I gotta clean it every time I use it, emptying the bowl is a messy ordeal, etc. And, on top of it, it's got that nasty brown bong water residue hanging all up over the sides inside. Usually I just twist up some paper towel and jam that shit up inside the stem and down through the bowl, but the shape of the bubbler makes it really hard. Is there a solution or something I can soak it in and then just rinse all of the shit off later? I know they have that Smoker's Formula 420 shit, but it's expensive and if I can use vinegar or salt water or something instead I'd rather.
There are only three(four) types of weed.
1.) Cannabis ruderalis Janisch (Absolutely worthless)
2.) Indica
3.) Sativa
4.) Indica-Sativa cross
Depending on who you're going through, you're either going to get some bullshit, very old and bunk-smelling "Schwag," (Shitty weed, also known as reggie, for regular) or two other types of "home-grown."
The home-grown weed will be in fresh-smelling fluffy nugget form. The strains vary, but there are two, (arguably three) levels of potency. One being called "Mids." Mids, or mid-grades, contain seeds and are usually accompanied by large leaves that have not been trimmed from the plant colas as they grow. Often a sign of being grown outdoors with little care.
The other level is often called Kind Bud, Nugget or Headies. This weed IS the best you can get, but potency levels vary by strain and growing methods. Often this is of light-green color with astounding THC trichome detail. The fragrance can smell like that of fruit, flowers, skunk, or a completely new and unique one.
I for one would never waste my time or money on anything but the latter mentioned here. Depending on where you are, grams can go anywhere from $10-30, but are usually sold in set amounts, such as 8ths (usually 3.5 g, of which is 1/8 of an ounce), for $45-60 (maybe up to $90 in some rare cases). This is so that the risk of being caught diminishes while selling more to less, so that they may also "re-up" their stash with new strains sooner (meets high-demand).
Keep it safe, smoke through a bowl or bong, and enjoy.
You know, if you arn't satisfied with the strength of your weed you can always do an extraction.
Just grind it up fine and use butane to extract the gas.
The key points are to grind it up fine (helps in letting the liquid butane permeate the material). Make sure the butane stays liquid over the weed for atleast 10-20 seconds.
And lastly, boil that shit off, even once all the visible gas has boiled off there is probably still tiny amounts left in the oil so it pays to just heat the resin/oil over a low heat for a short time, it will start to bubble a little itself, at which point you can scoop it up with a razor blade and store it.
It will likely go quite hard after this.
Now once you read up about it, there's a whole world out there to do with extracting, refining and potentiating cannabis resins. But look up butane extraction to help in geting the most out of shit weed.
You can get it to the point where it's just a yellow liquid with 4-10 times the strength of the original oil. It's also very clean. No minor resins or anything.
You can smoke the oil by itself or dab onto buts and smoke it normally.

I use alcohol, carefully warming it and shaking it with the openings covered, after using whatever wire or tool I can to get the majority of the glop out.
Letting the alcohol evaporate away leaves a nice stinky black goop that can be recycled.
For the last round, to make it shiny clean, I use alcohol with table salt, and then some diluted dish liquid with salt. You have to rinse it really well, and for fuck's sake, don't use the resin you cleaned out with the salt mixture, LOL.
This and a little effort cleans things up like brand new.

Had pretty much the same experience with a particularly strong batch of Romulan (worst strain name ever). I'm pretty sure that smoking the strongest boutique weed in the region coupled with not having any at all for six months is what got that result.
