tries and fails horribly.

Article isn't that great but I like the title.
I hate myspace. When I first got it, I thought it was cool and really convenient to keep in touch with friends, but now the whole site is covered with ads that take forever to load and sometimes even freeze up my browser... it's so irritating.
Mandrake, have you ever seen a Commie drink a glass of water?

>>77 i don't think they had twinkies or men's wet t-shirt contests in the 17th century. that article might be untrue.
I read it on the internet, so it must be true.

A very clever hoax.
what is this thread about??

Oh my god, that is fucking awesome.
An acquaintance of mine put up a very well constructed hoax page at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarpaulin_(fish)
in which he claimed that the modern English term "tarpaulin" was derived from the name of a now-extinct fish related to the stingray, possessed of durable waterproof skin, from which the first examples were made.
It stayed up for several days before admins caught on and deleted it.
>Obvious hoax; references and image are fake, biological data is nonsensical (a manta ray with a beak?!), no relevant search results in Google.
>Speedy delete. What else could you expect from User:Sock Q. Faunce?
>Speedy delete Go to jail, do not pass go... Utter nonsense.
Doesn't sound too well constructed!
It's cases like these that make me think Wikipedia needs more of a sense of humor. I suppose they get this sort of thing daily, though.
