i like CLI browsers because they are awesomely fast.
it just so happens that they aren't that great in showing a lot of pages in a featureful and readable way.

I like CLI browsers for compat testing (Well, if it's reasonably useable in a CLI browser, then it's usually reasonably useable in a screen reader and in older browsers, too), and for when there just isn't any other way I can browse the internet (Not every machine needs X).
Other than that, nice and bloated GUI pls. I like my firefox extensions.
CLI browsers support CSS and JavaScript lately anyway.
By the way, I think we mean text-based, or terminal-based browsers. Not really CLI.
Although a real command-line browser does exist (I haven't tried it): http://twill.idyll.org/
That's what 99% of people mean when they say CLI anyway.

I read that elinks has limited JS support, but I tried it and it doesn't hold a candle to w3m in usability/other features. And now CSS? What CLI browsers are you talking about?

Well, to really answer your question, it usually gets the spacing wrong, an insult so grave I can barely stand it.
More like some fool wrote SJIS art which relied on the spacing being exactly the same on every single browser. Pretty naive if you ask me. Hahaaa... cookies on dowels.

some years ago everyone was arguing against IE because of the M$ monopol and now everyone praises chrome, also when google become a monopol? wtf..
People had a problem with the MS monopoly because they intentionally suppressed competition, and that left every Windows user with a fail browser. Firefox's insistence on adherence to standards, and stress on functionality forced MS to make versions after IE6 almost usable. Google hasn't suddenly stripped all search results for alternative web browsers.
There are other good reasons to question or criticize Google, but afaik they don't have monopolistic influence exerted in any tech sphere.

As for the application ID, Google points to their manager Brian Rakowski, who at the Chromium project issues site states:"There’s a little confusion here that I’d like to clear up. There are two IDs being discussed. They are stored and used separately.
