This site is not friendly to non-Japanese art.
Fuck Danbooru, you've regressed to the point you should be publicly humiliated, campaigned against, DDOSed and just be ignored.
why is this a problem?
you have deviantart
>implying that da isn't a problem
Facepalm

nonono, that's not the way things work around here.
> will leave you to post shit as long as you pay.
Not really. Paying for an account won't get your pictures approved, it just makes the pedo stuff visible. Danbooru is secretly a lolicon paysite.
In similar news, Gelbooru has been actively deleting everything by artists who aren't japanese people living in japan. Regardless of how they draw. It's hilarious.

Obligatory "other boards are available" link: http://overbooru.pinochan.net/
There's also this stupid thing: http://booru.org/ where you can create your own board (with blackjack and hookers). It won't last.
danbooru does host non (made by)japanese stuff
I see stuff from dan kim, schroedinger, and littleshrimp on that site.
perhaps you just suck at drawing

like they said danbooru is not a social networking site
i dont see why you want it to be
"Fun is against the TOS" is a recent meme, born in that thread. They're starting to sound more and more serious about it, though.

>>5 Subtle(not) racism. What other reason should be expected?
I believe Gelbooru allows anything related to anime
Doesn't matter who made it
It also allows 5 tags at once when searching
>>11
Inability to come up with any other usable criteria. Danbooru's solution was to have a panel of experts decide which pictures don't suck.
But, they've set the bar a bit too high. It wouldn't hurt to see more of the adequate-but-boring stuff, and things with minor flaws, and generic porn that's bafflingly popular. Should be aiming for "this is okay" rather than "this is excellent".
Deleted posts are still accessible, anyway, so it's not like it matters. Search "status:deleted" to see them, click "Size: 768x768 (666.42 KB)" in the sidebar for the full pic.
So when they delete an artist's work, by request, it's just moved into the "deleted posts" area until there's another complaint. They're still hosting it, just in an obfuscated way. Very sneaky.
You guys are forgetting about http://rule34.paheal.net/post/list . I think that that site pretty much lets anybody post pictures of arbitrary quality. I guess that it's more or less a good alternative from danbooru/gelbooru.
There's plenty of alternatives, try the links in >>6 for the full list.
Paheal's theme is crappy porn of named characters (Rule 34). They don't use descriptive tags, just character/series/artist.
I stopped browsing Danbooru because of their retarded censorship. They even post link to the banned artists so you'll know what you're missing.
I personally use pixiv, moe.imouto.org and Gelbooru. I don't browse Deviantart, but it is a good site if you want to see anime pictures drawn from people from all over the world.
>>19
so it's "retarded censorship" to delete pictures when the original artists contact danbooru and request that their work not be posted there?
that's the reason there are 'banned artists', not because the site hates them
>>19
You actually use pixivi? I've never been able to figure out how to navigate that site properly. And running it through translation software makes it worse.
>>22
pixiv recently got an english interface, it's not as easy to search for great images on as danbooru & friends (probably by design) but it should be perfectly navigable
>>20 there's also the ban on loli, or maybe it's just not allowed unless you become a "full member" i.e. suck the admins' dicks or donate money. And gelbooru is getting increasingly shittier by the day, what with the ads.
I'm just using pixiv now. It's easy to navigate if you have Rikaichan and know how to use it.
>>23
the loli restriction exists because j-list doesn't want their ads to be seen on pages containing loli
if you have a better idea how danbooru can pay for its bandwidth than j-list ads or donations, i'm sure they would be open to hearing it
gooby plz
