"Waka"chan is just a collection of different boards across a few severs though, and I thought they were just moving a few of their servers?

While the majority of the boards are maintained (and apparently abandoned in the case of iichan and a few other boards) by their respective owners, I believe wakachan actually hosts a few of the boards, including the Azumanga board and the Russian board.
