Funny to see a thread about Eternal September here when this place had its own Eternal September when 8channers migrated here in droves last year. You completely lack any sense of self-awareness, don't you?
It's a shame there's no definitive date for the coming of the Smartphone age.
Eternal September mk2.
This is a great litmus test of a retard. Anyone who holds stock in "Eternal September" is a dribbler who was probably born in said month.

I know this is like oldfag roleplay mecca for types like you but there is nothing interesting about this subject.

What an incredibly presumptuous post. I hope you're proud of yourself.

I guess the idea is interesting insofar as how a close-knit brotherhood experienced the mass serialization of its community. To me it seems kind of elitist. They lamented the collapse of their ivory tower; now every Joe Sixpack with a computer room and a floppy drive could speak their minds for six hundred free minutes, too.
I'm just about finished with the book "Where Wizards Stay Up Late". It's a biopic about the people who created ARPAnet and addresses some of the conflicts that you're talking about. I think you'd rather enjoy it.
I very much look forwardto reading that, early net culture is alwys fun and its usually microcosmic of things happening today. Cheersp
