What are your thoughts regarding the eventual end of net neutrality? The people's attention spans are so short, it seems like this next vote is going to go right under their noses. And if not this one, maybe the next attempt. It seems to me that sooner or later the corporations are going to get away with abolishing it without catching the attention of the public.
I'm fairly uneducated on it. I know some things about it, and I've heard arguments for and against it, but I don't think I'm the most informed on it by any means. Knowing the companies and the people currently in charge of America's internet though, I don't feel like we're in for a good time should the government not be able to regulate things at all anymore. Do any of you know more on the topic? Can you placate my fears, or justify them?
Hello reddit!
Seeing the reddit retard thunderclap big tech was able to generate over this just to save fractions of a cent on bandwidth has really hammered home the necessity of anti-trust to break them up to me. Imagine how much greater the actual graft and lobbying is in congress.
Net Neutrality is the thing that people on the Internet has been fighting for for several years now, and it's kind of weird that people are suddenly acting like its a bad thing because "[insert boogeyman here] supports it so it must be a bad thing". The only real positive is that I won't have to read as many stupid posts on the Internet anymore.
It's showtime (again).
And there it goes. That's a first.
oh lol my isp supports net neutrality nvm boys sorry for caring
4-ch has nothing to worry about. Even if your speed is throttled to 56k, it'll load instantly.

Wouldn't it be nice if the worst case scenario ends up being a resurgence of "primitive", text-based internet communication?

Maybe when the next geomagnetic reversal finally happens.

4-ch would still be dead.
