I'm curious how other people spend their time on the web. I only really use anonymous boards and occasionally skype for an old group of friends, so I'm pretty out of touch with anything except imageboards. What about you? Even if it's on a service that people consider distasteful like Reddit or Discord, I'd really like to know where people go nowadays.
I enjoy lurking xltronic from time to time. I really like the simple y2k layout of the site, plus the community isn't too nerve jarring. Considered registering to it a while ago but couldn't because their captcha's fucked so eh.
Am redditfag (sad I know), but I really only use it because I haven't found a good site to replace it yet (ideas welcome). I do use this board, however, when I have access to a computer. I have a Discord account, but I rarely use it because the community is pretty toxic (so is Reddit but I try not to go to the comments much, where the toxicity resonates)
I have been working on creating my own textboard employing some modern ideas, but it probably won't go anywhere.
Other than that (and an occasional check on 4chan), I pretty much stay off the web. Though, if anyone has any recommendations for sites that might cure my boredom I will surely check it out.
I've been posting more on 4chan, as opposed to mostly lurking. I also spend some time on a few discords, some better in quality than others.

Jesús probably uses Facebook and WhatsApp, they're the most popular websites in Mexico by a huge margin.
Places I'm active in:
>doujin music sharing discord
>4-ch.net,
>Post Office
>Unholy Citadel of 6ch
>Bus Stop
>SAOVQ
>very rarely chakai.org but that seems too circle-jerky to check often.
>4chan's /v/
I had a lot to write about each but it very quickly turned into boring-to-read rambling so I just deleted it all lol
>doujin music sharing discord
I saw your post on Post Office about that. I now have enough samples of your typing style to accurately stalk you. Yay~
I still lurk in the bunkers, but more and more anons seem to pass each day.

Yes. I enjoy how terrible it is. I find extreme joy in wojakposting - not because I enjoy wojak, but because of just how low quality it is and the reactions it generates. It's literally the worst content imaginable. Just copying and pasting what someone said and slapping a crying wojak to it is the epitome of posting the shittiest shit you can muster with the least possible amount of effort. Any threads that are actually interesting are just icing on the cake. I also sometimes participate in the UNIST threads that happen at night, where they gather players to fight each other. I'm not good, but better than when I started so it's not all bad.

It would be my pleasure for you to stalk me.

There are some places
>Hispachan
My local biggest chan, its an spanish ib but i only lurk/post on some boards, and they use to be slow
>4chan
Just to lurk about my favorite ongoing manga and shit over the faggots of /pol/
>Bienvenidos a Internet
Spanish TB, quite interesting and is similar to 4-ch, but they tend to be more political

huh, me too. I also hang out in discord with my friends from SA, because I wouldn't be surprised if lowtax just kills that waste of money.
>>16 Isn't SA his only revenue source? He's pretty fucked financially right now so I doubt he'd pull the plug.
>>17
He has a patreon for his youtube channel now. I’m not joking, lowtax became a streamer. The internet is weird.
>>18
Every has-been eceleb ends up a streamer nowadays.
>I enjoy lurking xltronic from time to time
A quick look at this site tells me it's one of those largely unmoderated, off-topic old-school forums that have a dedicated community there. Like AutoAdmit/Xoxohth. Those are curiosities to me and I don't personally enjoy them but I'm glad people still use them.

It's interesting that there are people who still use Reddit as a link-aggregator similar to Fark or other sites that seem to be all the rage, I didn't know those were still in fashion. The site seems so stupid in it's userbase but it's hard to judge a website that large but I guess you get signal-to-noise type arguments there and a lot of people are turned off by the upvote/downvote stuff.
>>13
I also find it interesting that Wojak (and to a lesser extent, Pepe, I haven't seen the frog posted except when trying to incite a reaction.)has had such staying power. Almost all of the new memes that come from /v/ or whatever seem to be variations of it. It may be less of the quality of wojak but more the cultural bankruptcy of 4chan.
Myself, I rarely use the internet to socialize anymore, even though I'm not very old physically I feel too old to relate to the average internet crowd. I mostly use the net to read and watch stuff and occasionally check old haunts or read social media to try to get an idea of what young people are like nowadays. I often feel guilty about not posting on my old sites and sometimes going on posting-sprees.
Imageboards, textboards, reddit, discord, and any website that hosts a story that I am in the middle of reading. The last group includes spacebattles, sufficientvelocity, questionablequesting, royalroad, archiveofourown, fanfiction.net, tumblr, and various wordpress blogs.
>archiveofourown, fanfiction.net, tumblr
lol
>>22
can't speak for the others, but tumblr has had an interesting growth in "based" blogs and content in the recent years
the website as a whole is still horrible though
>>23
I didn't even know people still used it after pornography was softly banned.
F-List and some obscure alternatives like Penultimate Destination and Naughty Muffin.

What is ``Bus Stop" ? Is it Post Office, for hetero-sexuals?
Reading gopher pages hosted at SDF. Occasionally I'll find something really interesting and I'll email the user to let them know I liked it. sometimes I'll dip into the newsgroups, but once you filter the spam its the same people shouting at the wind, it seems. Other than that, 4chan/g/
>very rarely chakai.org but that seems too circle-jerky to check often.
Because it's imageboard in format only, you shouldn't confuse it with an anonymous imageboard.
at the moment its the few remaining ayashii world revival boards, 6ch, post office, and saovq

https://22chan.org/
Great community with relaxed people, some oldfags.
Kinda slow then and there but i like it and they've been banning normalfag shit so there's also that.
>>30
No offense but it having that many rules is usually a bad sign
>>32
based on deez nuts
'edgy' is probably the better word, though
