What to do to have enough visual library enough for maybe concept artist jobs like
something like what https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnflBERf2zM suggests but then the exact quota in question

like the minimum employment requirement and such or maybe getting/expecting million sallary anually as an artist

Hahaha you must be taking the piss!

There is no “exact quota” for a portfolio, you just want enough to show off everything you can do. Obviously if you have a wider range of styles and capabilities, you're going to be more employable. But they're not gonna go “well we liked your work but you only had six external landscape studies and we were really looking for eight”.

You also want to just show your best examples, you don't need to fill it up with all the life drawing and practice that I'm sure you've been doing. Obviously you want to focus it on the position you're applying for, like if it's an en environmental concept artist job, mostly show your best environment sketches and concepts, but you could still show some of your other work like character concepts or whatever, to show you have a range of skills. If you have some technical ability, try bringing your environment concepts to life in 3D modeling software - if two artists are applying for the same job, and they both have outstanding work but one has more technical ability to actually produce their concepts, which one do you think will get the job?

I'm rooting for you to follow your dreams but you have to live in the real world first lol

Oh you 😊

>not six or eight
Well then one will do just fine then?
>best
this is a measure to be defined, what can i measure it from then.

>technic
>caps
uh, again, this thread is about hypothethical on guessing the needed amount of your so called "have the capabilities" which in my conversation means, million sallary

>live in the real world
well, as you said, nobody said a thing, and obviously you need to know more so,
what's with the equally undefinable answer?

here we are again.
nice textbombing but this isnt very intelligent nor informative. only loud and terribly unexperienced.

Probably not, put yourself in the shoes of the employer: some guy applies for a job and he has one stunning piece of concept art, and is asking for a million salary. Are you going to hire him based on that?

>this is a measure to be defined, what can i measure it from then.
It's not. All your threads are the same, looking for some unnecessary concrete value - walk cycles, light refraction, number of items in your folio etc. Just do what feels right to convey what you want to convey, and study a lot to see why other examples look realistic or not.

>technic
>caps
What?

>in my conversation means, million sallary
Wait a minute, what currency are you talking about? 1 million rupees is about $12000 dollars, which is much more realistic for a concept artist with no experience. I think we thought you were hoping to make a million dollars as a concept artist, that's never gonna happen! That's what I meant when I said come and live in the real world, apologies if I misunderstood you.

>isnt very intelligent nor informative. only loud and terribly unexperienced.
Lol okay, stupid bastard! I'm telling you this speaking from experience of putting together a folio to get into the games industry. I had coursework from university plus examples of personal projects. So there were half a dozen life drawings to prove my basic drawing skills, half a dozen concept sketches of atmospheric game levels, three levels I modelled and textured in Maya for a first-person shooter, various texture maps I did in Photoshop for characters and level assets, and a short game I made with some friends as part of a 24hr game jam. But when applying for my first job to get on the ladder, the employer seemed more interested that I had knowledge of the subject we were making a game about, he kinda took my folio and degree for granted. And then once you get your first job and get some experience, it becomes easier to get better jobs and reach those million rupees ;)

>interview
didnt say i m gonna ask for an interview. try reading first before larping, or better, get money.
>unnecessary
if its not necessary you d be the owner of 4chan by now but you are 60 and still scraping dirt from an online cafe
>million rupe
you could have answered that either but i thought you said concrete value is unnecessary? pls get your priority straight, your "life experience" seems to be begging on streets for attentions you dont deserve because you think you are above all sorts of data.
which is if impressive, you could just save time and put your phone number like a little tiny whore, which is a much smarter move. but i guess your balls are smaller than their brains.
>???
na it's actually million dollar a year. im just talking hypothethics, since the avg salary a year for concept artist is 40 grand and as much a year, then a million is just about 20 times of that load work?

So assuming it is, i am asking the 40 grand quota, multiplied in 20, hypothethically.
no need to be so goddamn choked, einstein.
i am just trying to make this fancy like all your favorite motivational idol bastards

How are you going to get a job without someone to employ you?
>you d be the owner of 4chan by now but you are 60 and still scraping dirt from an online cafe
What are you talking about? What's 4chan got to do with anything? Why would I want to own 4chan? I haven't been on 4chan since 2009. I am not 60, and we don't have online cafés in my country.
>the avg salary a year for concept artist is 40 grand and as much a year, then a million is just about 20 times of that load work?
Sorry bro you're hella stupid. Even if that was possible, why do you think you're the one to get that position, and not someone who's actually put the work in?
>i am just trying to make this fancy like all your favorite motivational idol bastards
What does this mean? What are you trying to tell me? How can I have a favourite motivational idol bastard if I don't know what a motivational idol bastard is?

Don't blame me if I misunderstand your drivel, I'm trying to answer you in good faith
