>>2128 Sorry, I couldn't find any.

>>2169 >>2170 >>2171 >>2172 Any video game fanart? Also whatever you find interesting, go ahead and dump brother. Are all of these saved from ancient BBSes?
>>2188 I got these pictures from: * FTP servers. Find them with Mamont or NAPALM * eMule. Go for *.zip files, since they preserve file modification dates. Good keywords include "HCG", "9801", "PC98", "画", Japanese titles of 90s anime. * DC++. Again, look for *.zip files especially. * Google/Bing/Yandex image searches. Add the "gif" keyword to bring up more old pixel art. I use wget to save files with their original dates. I'm on a holiday, and will resume dumping in September.

This one's pretty good for 1993. Columns and shiny surfaces were a cliché of 90s 3D art. Source: "GIF-Galaxy - Volume 1" from archive.org
Gamewallpapers still exists. File date is 2000-05-01
DJ18.JPG source: some FTP server.
I forgot to mention in >>2243 that cd.textfiles.com has a big collection of shovelware CDs, some with images.
I wonder what would happen if you called the number from a picture like this. Would somebody answer? Source: "So Much Screenware" from archive.org
I want a game where you can explore endless random landscapes.
I think that's all for today.

>>2243 Got any more old Japanese artist CG? Already had all the ones you posted but I'm unable to use P2P file sharing clients to look for them there.

And that's all for now. Many pictures were in IFF format originally, since they were produced on Amiga computers. You can also check out Aminet for more pictures.
Thanks for sharing!
Glad you like them! <-- GEnie was an online service predating the Internet. By the way, I've been unable to find evidence the Internet existed (and named such) before 1990.
Apparently HST means "High-speed transfer", a protocol.

Kibo was a Usenet troll. There's a Wikipedia article about him.
1994-05-31 I wonder how good landscape generators are today.
No idea about the source of this one.
>>2529 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cerebus_the_Aardvark >Cerebus (/ˈsɛrəbəs/;[1] also Cerebus the Aardvark) is a comic book series created by Canadian cartoonist Dave Sim, which ran from December 1977 until March 2004. The title character of the 300-issue series is an anthropomorphic aardvark who takes on a number of roles throughout the series—barbarian, prime minister and Pope among them. The series stands out for its experimentation in form and content, and for the dexterity of its artwork, especially after background artist Gerhard joined with the 65th issue. As the series progressed, it increasingly became a platform for Sim's controversial beliefs.

FidoNet addresses in the top left corner. Both points were probably operating in the Kherson region.
Krasnoyarsk, Russia
Tomsk, Russia
I like bad CGI.
Last night I had a dream there was some nightclub modeled after the one in the harlem shuffle, and the blinking billboard was russian dial-up BBS porn of Misty getting railed by Starmie, animated like .gif related. Can someone help me find a porn animation of Misty like the one in my dream?
Other anons, how do _you_ find old pictures?

>>4169 I’m Asuka in this image. How do I get into ftp servers?I cant find anything good through normal search engines anymore
>>2482 I recognize it. She'd be released into the public now, surely. I wonder how she's doing.
>>2170 How do you know how old they are? I assume after all the changes from one disk to another since 1993, the date information must have changed. One time I put all my stuff on a OSX machine in 2007 and it overwrote all date information across all files to the date of the transfer.
>>2511 What's clipper?
>>4181 I'm afraid I was just using some advanced google searches for "open directories" that search html pages. Potentially possible to find ftp servers that way (I found a few) or a small web of servers that link to each other from old links or were name dropped. For example using google's advance search keywords I found 710 urls that have "ftp." in the url somwhere and relate to nyan cat via searching the words inside the graves `"nyan cat" inurl:ftp.` I should really get some kind of ftp reading software because those servers have some really old stuff that would be cool to see but firefox has dropped support of the protocol.
I wish I could have shared my folders here, but alas, a botched upgrade wiped my drives.
pixiv was kinda fun to browse once

AKANE.GIF Found this on a Shareware disc from 1992. Dated Feb 10 1990 I've never watched Ranma 1/2.
It's bizarre that www2e(dot)biglobe(dot)ne(.)jp/~earth/ is still online. It appeared around 1996 iirc. (Had to use archive.org to retrieve a few of the broken image links, though.)
>>2395 >>2453 >>2455 >.IFF <happy Amiga noises> It really took the PeeCee world about 15 years to catch up. In the late 1980s I visited a friend-of-a-friend who operated an Amiga BBS, and his board was something like 50 megabytes of pron in .IFF format. GIF only came out in 1987.
Oink
>>4711 you should watch it.
Where is that boobage from?
>>5000 Checked and thats undeniably Mahoro from Mahoromatic.
This is an image a stranger sent me over the PlayStation Network in January 2010. I figure that means it's from 2009. I think we were matched together in a Call of Duty game, but I can't remember which game, if they were on my team, if one of us had killed another, or what. Either way, I saved the picture, and I still have it fourteen years later. (I'm making this post with the very PS3 I recieved the message on!)
>>1216 Sorry for the delay. https://archive.org/details/1996_20240519
Hey that's pretty cool. I have some stuff like that of my own that I will share later ^^/
>https://archive.org/details/1996_20240519 In fact, do you have any more stuff just like this? or is this everything?
Why are all the furry images modified after 2008?
>>4307 its a digital bus pass in the bay area that basically tracks you like the NSA the only anachronism with that is that it wasnt called clipper until 2010 so i have to assume that theyre talking about clipper street and some other NSA probably a street gang that has since become irrelevant
