Akudama Drive. About halfway through it.
Pretty cool show.
Does it already have an annoying underage fanbase like everything else Kodaka's been involved with? I haven't gone looking.
I recently got Death Note on DVD so i started watching that again.
Been rewatching things out of boredom. I've rewatched ReZero, Goblin slayer, Redline, Tensei slime, Overlord, and a few others I've forgotten the name too.

Nice! I started watching Patlabor TV too, back to back with Hidamari Sketch. I've achieved the epitome of comfort.
currently i am watching Rozen Maiden, and it is better than i thought.
Started watching Astarotte no Omocha, its very interesting for now, the main heroine is very good too.
I am re watching Yuru Yuri as of now
Yuru Camp
Rewatching Shuffle! after years
Dragon Maid S is missing something from season 1 but I can't put my finger on it.
My Next Life as a Villainess s2 on the other hand feels like a continuation of season 1.

It might have to do with the fact that it is directed by a different person since the one in charge of S1 died in the arson attack.
Idaten is a refreshing take on the 'teens with superpowers' formula. Being stronger than the villains and removing them the moment they appear instead of wasting whole arcs fighting them or leaving them to reappear in the future is something I fully welcome!
Heike Monogatari
Just watched Porco Rosso with some friends. I'd never seen it before, so I had no idea what to expect, even though I knew it had some rave reviews (like most Ghibli films). It was pretty good all around! The animation was great and the political subtext was nice. That poor pig ;_;
I am watching Renkin San-kyuu Magical? Pokaan. It is a nice show, you might have heard of the fan game/vn "wolf girl with you", which is actually I think more popular than the actual show now.
>>8
I'm currently rewatching it. Definitely understand/notice a lot more this time.
This month I finished Flip Flappers, Otherside Picnic, and Made in Abyss.
Liked them a lot, enjoying Princess Principal right now.
Made in Abyss was pretty cool. Too cool for the gay youtube.

Ousama Ranking. Would anyone happen to have access to the Japanese manga raws? I've been looking for it all over but no luck.
>>28
Ousama Ranking is really very interesting, honestly one of the best anime of the season.
been rewatching Hidamari Sketch with some friends who are watching it for the first time
I created the English subtitles for the new upcoming anime Healer Girl...

GTU is fantastic too
I started watching Queen's blade.
Pretty meh so far.
But the girls are sure pretty!

There's nothing wrong with watching anime for the plot.
I'm watching Prizma Iliya anime after reading Fate Stay Night and Hollow Ataraxia. It's nice to see more of best girl, but her personality is completely different, it isn't really the same character. I like to imagine that this is the previous Iliya playing the role of the new one, and once the director says "cut" she goes back to her real self, and all people who film with her are even a bit afraid of her.

Going from Zero, FSN, and UBW to Prisma is basically going to a spin-off in the same universe. It's an entirely different genre with familiar characters. I'd liken it more to a show like Madoka or other Mahou Shoujo shows than an actual Fate series.
My god Prisma is a good show though and as I've gotten older I find I prefer the Mahou Shoujo genre over traditional highschool fantasy action.
Not sure about that show being good, but cumtastic it undeniably is. I only watched first season. I'm not sure why I wasn't that satisfied by fighting scenes in that anime, either I got spoiled by mainline fate fights which are just hard to top period, maybe use of slowmo and drama and slow pace in genera, maybe I don't like to see little girls risking their life, maybe magic cheapens fights while I'd rather watch real wars or legal battles or people tricking people out of their money or anything else actually useful in life.
Madoka to Mahou Shoujo genre is like Evangelion to Mecha genre, an edgy deconstruction of a long running genre. I'd rather you name Kard Kaptor Sakura or Mirumo de Pon or Kreamy Mami.
Finished watching

Think of this as indie animation, but with budget and by actual professionals. A series of short 5-10 minute animated shorts that aren't connected to each other. You probably heard of Me!Me!Me!, well, that was one of those. Some of those are fun or cute or cool or lewd, some of those are boring and depressing, very depressing, god fucking kill me depressing.
I couldn't find subs for those. I haven't really looked for them though, maybe they are easily available.

I think it's a good show, but I love drama shows so lack of fighting is not a problem for me.

Watching some pussydrama while you practically gave up on ever having children is irritating, watching somebody die over and over is much more satisfying. Original Fate Stay Night vn is practically a "hey kid, want to experience 50 exciting ways to die in first person?". Everything feels like a downgrade after that.

i saw the new gundam g-witch prologue, it was really cool
Hunter ROBIN, really like it.
Just finished Erased (highly recommend) and just started Demon Slayer because 2 of my friends says it's the best starter anime (I'm new to anime - that's literally all I've seen).
anyway, watch Erased if you haven't. It's actually really well made.
I've been watching Seiyuu Radio no Uraomote. I love that feeling of female rivalry growing into friendship. Especially a gyaru and a quiet studious girl...
>>52
I also liked Erased a lot. The English title for the anime is a bit odd, the Japanese translates to "town with only me".
Don't think there is a "best starter anime", people have different interests and different preferred genres. It may be a good shounen.
There's an almost infinite amount of anime and manga out there when you're new so take your time and enjoy whatever interests you the most. If you liked Erased and want to recapture that feeling you'll probably like some other things with a "Psychological" tag. Try out some different genres too over time. Don't worry about what's most popular.
I watched your name yesterday. It was very good. The two main characters don't know each other so it creates a really cool dynamic and I thought it was very well made.
I'm watching anyamal tantei kiruminzoo. Really good magical girl anime, very much enjoying it. But as someone used to my 12 episode one cour anime, 50 episodes of highly episodic slice of life can be pretty slow to get through.
I'm watching Nichijou. It's exactly my humour and I wish there were more episodes. Also the drawing style is really cute and sometimes funny, just as everything else about the show.
I'm watching Sonny Boy. It's great so far, getting Masaaki Yuasa vibes
The currently airing Kankin Kuiki Level X - half length episodes, suspense and horror with a side character I really like
As of yesterday, I started watching Yuyushiki. It's a really nice CGDCT type of show, and I like it. However, I'm confused how it's pronounced. In the short breaks in the middle of it, they always say it, but they don't say the i, that comes after the sh ("Yuyushki"). Maybe I'm just overhearing it, but this always confuses me.
>>59
In 東京弁 (Tokyo dialect) it's pretty common to drop the final vovel of a word so yuyushiki can quickly become yuyushk. As for when it's shki instead of shiki, し (shi) often becomes Sh when there's a hard sound like tsu 質問 or ki 四季 after, but I don't think there's a hard rule for it.
Are you enjoying the show? I just finished all the Non Non Biyori seasons (cute and relaxing rural life show) and started Gakkou Gurashi.
>>60
I finished Gakku Gurashi. Very fun slice of life show.
Just download it and enjoy the show. If you must know what it's about, there's a few cute girls living at school as part of club activities. I'd actually recommend you don't know more than that, makes it more exciting. ☆(ゝω・)
>>60
Thanks for the explanation. Yes, I really like the show. I'm at 10 out 12 episodes right now and will probably finish the show this evening. In particular the fact that there are virtually no male characters (except for the god of blessing), is weirdly comforting, however as a minor nitpick, I didn't understand the scene where the girls tried to make their teacher cry, it just seemed out out character and unfitting. but maybe
I’m about halfway through Kamichu. It’s a sweet little show all but spoilt by poor pacing and one or two bad episodes, like the one where the entire episode is just Yurie lying around in bed. There is a real warmth to the characters and the retro visual aesthetic is pretty. The core message is positive but not hamfisted.
