My favorite Manga is Death Note.
What's yours?
Oh boy... for me it's a tie between Kaguya-sama, Bloom Into You, Blue Period, Horimiya, and Girl's Last Tour. There's a whole more I could name if I wanted to, but it wouldn't fit in here :p
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind... it is very good and not too long, 7 volumes, and much better than the more well known movie adaptation directed by it's author
>>4 ooh, yeah that's a good choice. I'm still pissed about the adaptation, though.

yagate kimi ni naru and SSR are wonderful and you have good tastes.
I liked chainsaw man before it was cool
Berserk and Zetsubou Sensei
Manga that really stuck with me (that aren't mentioned here) are:
>>8 wow, that takes me back. SZS was so good.
Lately, I've been reading "We Never Learn", "Kanojo mo Kanojo" and "Looking up to Magical Girls"
Barefoot Gen and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. Barefoot Gen was the first manga I ever read that really hit me and it's stuck with me ever since. It's based on the author's own experience of surviving Hiroshima and losing most of his family. It's absolutely horrifying and the atomic bomb scene from the anime is pretty famous.
Shortcuts by Furuya Usamaru
It is a hilarious manga about 90's Japan

Consider having an opinion of your own and not following popular teenage culture.
Melancholia by Dowman Sayman
it's an anthology like his other work, Nickelodeon (which is also really good but maybe should be read before) and they connect to eachother, along with his other work Voynich Hotel
Unlike nickelodeon however, all the short stories connect at the end which is a trope I like
His manga are always weird, surreal, and occasionally disturbing which i really like. For the same reason I'm also a big fan of:
I really like Battle Angel. Love that scrap heap 3rd world aesthetic. But Ranma 1/2 has to be my favourite manga.
