Is anybody else seriously irked by mods shepherding us in and out of threads, closing heated discussions, nuking threads that could have been permasaged at most, or otherwise being a little over-tyrannical?
The closing of the global warming debate thread for instance is a good example. So what if nothing "constructive" was going to come out of it? Since when has anything constructive come out of 4-ch? We have so few active, heated discussions, seems a nice place like that thread to argue, why kill it? Isn't the 1000 post limit enough?
Not lately.
They've been very permissive and relaxed (for the most part).
The only things deleted are spam and advertising (usually).
> tyrannical
Please have mercy on the English language.
Aside from the global warming thread, which I never really kept up with nor did I close, is there any other examples of moderator action you don't agree with or believe was wrong?
>tyrannical
I see nothing wrong with this. What were you doing when it stopped working?
Along these lines, if an IP gets banned, is it a temporary thing or something permanent? Because one of my IPs got banned and I'm not entirely sure if I actually did anything wrong.
I'd like to know why this post was deleted, seeing as it was on-topic, informative and did not seem to violate any rules.

My apologies, that one was a mistake.
lol

Good guess, that's exactly my provider.
>>13 Okay, G-node is now unbanned. You can post again.
Thanks. I don't know where I'd be without the /love/ to read each night.
