When Lex first showed up round here I took a peek at her Twitter and saw that she said she lived and worked in Tblisi - that, and the way she wrote English, led me to conclude that she was not a native speaker. I put this forward today as an I hope more charitable explanation for some of the misunderstandings which have led her into several spats on this board. She now tells us she is a native English speaker. I don't believe implicitly everything I am told by strangers on the Internet, especially strangers who kick around under so many aliases. I am afraid I retain my own view about this, but I apologise if my disbelieving comment at >>312 came across as unnecessarily mean.
