Would there be any interest in a fictional movie set in an alternate timeline where Osama Bin Laden was captured alive instead of killed and then put on trial? Ideally there would be real lawyers for the prosecution and defense as well as a real judge to decide the case but if none can be found who would be interested in such a movie then it would be necessary to get a writer for the plot.
This is how it should've been done anyways. To show that all people are equal under law.
Indeed a trial certainly would have been more entertaining though probably a lot more expensive and the eventual outcome would likely be the same. though a prison sentence of 299,000 years (100 years for each victim) would have been quite satisfying as well.
