I have a legitimate question about the crackdown on talking about eating meat on this forum, which should not be viewed as making fun in any way. My question has a solid basis in facts and I'd like it if I could get it answered.
The taboo seems to stem from the idea that we don't want to have any discussion regarding eating something that was once alive and had a future in front of it. But more and more I'm seeing, from what appears to be this totally vegetarian standpoint, characters like Onion-chan and the potato named Potante. These are vegetables, the kind of vegetables, theoretically that you all eat, since you're not eating meat.
I mean, things like Potante actually speak more verbosely than the cows do. Wouldn't that make it WORSE to eat potatoes? Where do you draw the line?

actually, I'm a vegetarian for health reasons. which means every ten pounds i don't gain, you can gain twenty.
My body knows what it needs. And when I want to eat meat, I'll do.
And btw, I'm not fat or even slighlty overweight.

Anecdotally - most of the vegetarians I've met have actually been quite fat. I'm talking about like 2/3 of them are huge. But that's just experience.

Anyway, like I was sayin', shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it.

But what about those that only eat those things that have fallen from the living as if a gift such as fruits and really i'm confused as to whether a potato isn't such a thing or not but i suppose that no i assume that if an individual partake of pronography or reality television then that individual shall also partake of meat, fries, chips, candy, and the soda regardless as what has entered the mind mentally must also enter the body physically so that it may be seen and accounted for in another light so the individual may keep his own records upon matters of himself that he might assume to be of an airy nature and as for creatures of the sea no discernment has yet been made but i enjoy sushi because YOUNG FRESH CLEAN

I'd like to contest the view that animals do not have a future ahead of them, >>1. They have one, it is very legitimate and can be one of two forms. Either
1) the naturally free animal is hunted by the hunter and meets its demise through any of these or a combination: blunt objects, sharp objects, pellets, bullets, arrows, shrapnel, claws, teeth, paws, all of these in any quantity and at any part of the animals body so long as death is the result. Also, asphyxation by various means. The animal then gets prepared and eaten.
2) the domesticated animal goes into the slaughterhouse and is then prepared and eaten
I hope this illustrates that clearly, animals have a future.

I choose to buy very low quality meat, because I assume it came from low quality animals and maybe they're more likely to have wished for death. I guess it tastes sort of chickeny, and that's all I really need to be honest.
