I don't really get what the software is for, but afais, you only learn to remember where each note on the fretboard is. Something about the wording. It's incredible. You think to yourself...this just can't be true...but maybe maybe it could help...it's like going on a roller coaster ride or something. It's electric, it's hypnotic...

Quite a number of people have been hurt by this guy, which is really unfortunate. For those who've been hurt, I'd like to express that I hope the spark of hope that Slaiter guy awakened didn't go out.

It's possible to learn in an accelerated fashion with excellent teaching and concerted practice. Sometimes, as was the case in my music education, things just take time, and it's good that they take time. You learn things way way way better, if you take your time and really internalize what you are doing.

You make a lot more progress when you take your time.

Go slowly. There's no rush. The "big time" will be there when you get there. If you enjoy yourself as you go, you'll be happy wherever you arrive.

Even more so when the rest of the page is equally painful to read.

Since I am from the Caribbean and we are much smarter that the average American, I took another approach. You see, we are able to spot BULLSHIT at a moments notice. I went to the site while searching for a good guitar teaching system. After reading the great sales pitch I googled it and got this forum as a result and have now concluded I will not buy it. You Americans can be sooo gullable its not funny.

Yes, thats right, it works.... I have mastered the fretboard in under 15 minutes.. and I think that may be a record. But theres only one problem. I know the notes, but he promised i would be able to play the guitar Geniously. how come I cant press down the strings without my fingers burning!? Do you have a method that helps strengthen my hands and grow calaces (or however you spell it). This didnt stop me tho, I decided i would play some metallica songs with my newfound talent.. Theres just one problem. I dont know at all how to link these notes to make chords... What is a chord? WHY!!!! I DID THE METHOD!!!

one answer kid... ummm your dumb

I got the idea from this forum to downlaod it from Limewire. The way I see it is, any lesson is better than no lesson. I am pretty sure this guy is making a false sales pitch, but even if I can derive at least some bit of lesson from it, it would be worthwhile. So why not try it? Heck, I know it will not make me an Eric Johnson (a guy playing guitar for 25 years can't be like EJ!) but at least it lets me indulge in guitar learning with a lesson plan in hand!

and all i had to do was just copying and pasting that url into my browser :D
well i dont have time to test this shit right now but i guess i'll just go and play some guitar and not wasting my time learning the fretboard in 60 minutes when i alrealdy know it.

I am the guy from post#315.

Ok, I have memorized the fretboard. NOW WHAT?

1) He doesn't teach you how to tune your guitar
2 He doesn't teach any chords, even the basic ones
3) He doesn't teach you any songs.

The guy promised that he would make make me memorize the fretboard and that's what he did. But he also indicated that I would be a good guitar player just on the basis of knowing the fretboard. Didn't happen.

So, you might say that it is a promise only half-fulfilled. I must say though that you won't be wasting your time with the lesson. You will have memorized the fretboard. Now that IS a significant step for beginners.

Therefore, my recommendation on the product: 50%. (100% if you get it for free, like I did, from Limewire).
