I tried posting a picture there, but they check to see if you live in Japan or not by asking your prefecture and IP address. In short, they want to keep us 外人 (gaijin, I wrote foreigner in a rude context to express my opinion) riffraff out of their precious board, as do a lot of Japanese sites, mostly because of their xenophobia and it helps keep the traffic from overwhelming them.

And "gaijin" isn't that rude, it's just not as polite as "gaikokujin".
How do you post on 2channel? The browsing system looks too confusing to me. By the way, they have links to pictures. To view the pictures, you have to copy and paste the links all the time.
Gaijin can't post on 2chan.
But while gaijin can post on 2ch - I've seen it - for some reason I can't. I keep running into this:

And it never reloads! 画面が切り替えない! When I go back to the thread and refresh nothing comes up. Ever. It's not like some time-lapse thing, it never comes out.
Maybe this IP or range of IPs is banned. shrug
Use senbura, or 2channel browser, and proxy.

Foreigners can post on ２channel(2ch.net), but it still needs proxy. Don't know what the proxy can do.
Futaba(2chan.net) can only post with Japanese IP. So, the the proxy with foreign IP will not help.

Are you using dial-up with a web accelerator?
I used to, and I had that same problem. When I turned the accelerator off, it worked properly.
If not, uhh... you're SOL. :D
I'm using cable. No web accelerators.
But I will try using a proxy and a 2ch browser...

From my experience posting there in the past, 2ch does not seem very receptive of foreigners. Prepare to be ridiculed. If you happen to be Korean as well, you might as well smash your nuts with a hammer instead, as that would probably provide a more enjoyable experience. Have fun.
You think I care about what some anonymous idiots have to say on 2ch? They could say I was a brainwashed nationalist チョン with no brains and genetically inferior and it amounts to nothing - this is the internet. Internets.
I live in Sweden, and I can post on 2ch without any problems...
