Why do Japanese speakers, when typing English, use so many line breaks? It's really odd. Compare, say >>93 to >>223 .

Also, do you think it would be useful to learn Japanese in college? Does Japan have a good job market for foreign computer science people? My impression is that Japan is too overcrowded and xenophobic to really support a lot of foreign workers. Or do you think it's useful enough just to have for business over here, even though I wouldn't be the guy who talks to foreign customers?

Currently I'm planning to take Chinese because China is becoming so economically important now, but I don't really like the way it sounds. Of course, that may have something to do with being exposed mostly only to Pinyin and romaji, and romaji looks prettier. I don't know a whole lot about the actual phonetics, other than that spoken Chinese doesn't really look like the Pinyin.
