Seventeen year old virgin (68)

Here I am, seventeen years old and I'm still a virgin.
The closest I've gotten to sex was experimenting as a young child.

This is very depressing, I don't want to fap to anime girls all my life, but I don't know how to find a way to get rid of this problem.

Please tell me I'm not the only one like this, in my age group.

I'm seventeen and a virgin. It's not really a big deal. If you wind up going to college, your situation will probably change really quick. Everyone I've talked to has told me that it's better to wait for someone really special. Anyways, if you really can't wait, there's always somebody who just wants to fuck people.

I was a virgin at your age. I'm now 21, no longer a virgin, but I still know a few virgin males (guessing you are male)

Don't worry about it, you'll find the right person and you can always explain to her that you are a virgin and she will be very caring.

Have you had any girlfriend, already?

Because before you worry about losing your virginity, you will have to think about that issue,... the rest should come naturally.

With 17, it's not exceptional to be a virgin. For what it's worth, I lost mine at 19.

Don't worry about your virginity, it won't stop any girl. Worry about what it means to have a gf, and how to have one.

Isn't average unvirgifying age 18?

Girl here. I don't think it's odd at all for a 17 year old guy to be a virgin. Any girl (or guy, for that matter) who thinks less of you for being a virgin is a fool. I don't know what kind of person you are, but try not to feel pressured into losing your virginity!

Being a virgin shouldn't be a pressure. Grow up into the real world, maybe then you'll get some pussy.

This is what sickens me about today. You're actually depressed that you're a virgin at 17. Who jammed into your head that being a virgin at 17 is something to be depressed or ashamed about? Wait, let me guess. Your friends? Television and movies? People on 4chan? You shouldn't feel left out because you're not whoring yourself out like nearly everyone else is. Sex is the closest and most intimate you can get with your partner and you're bastardizing it by treating it like some hobby. No one will agree with me on this but I don't care. Sex should be special. It should be with a person you can say that you love.

Now feel free to bash the guy with the unpopular opinion because I know it's coming.

Sex is just an act of the flesh.

Don't be surprised if you find yourself wondering after you've lost your virginity what else there can be.

FWIW I lost my virginity at 16 with someone I had just met that night and didn't see after that night. Kind of weird, but you should definitely try and "save yourself" (as corny as that sounds) for someone who will matter to you once you've completed the act of intercourse. Often that's much more fulfilling that the act itself.

I'm 24 now btw.

Also, even though I lost my virginity at that age, and was sexually active in the coming months and years, I had sex with a really special person at 18. But then didn't have sex again until September of this year.

5+ year sexual drought. I had been so busy with work and school I just couldn't fit the time in.

Don't beat yourself up over lack of sex, it happens to everyone.

I thought love mattered more than viriginity? No?
I mean I wouldn't like to lose my virginity to some random girl or a girl friend that I won't end up marrying... That's just me.

I lost my virginity to a girl I ended up marrying, but even that didn't make my life any better.

I'm a virgin... ready to not be one, but I have a standard that so far no one has lived up to in the past few months when I've felt "ready": I have to be attracted to them, they have to be willing, and we have to have some sort of commitment. I have to know that we'll be together for a few more months at least.

Sadly, that rules out pretty much everyone I know. But I'm cool with that. I'm not about to whore myself out for a cheap thrill.

I'm a girl, BTW.

I'll tell you kids this. Casual, meaningless sex with a girl/guy who means nothing to you is pretty much the same as jerking off. Sure, it's fun to brag to your mates in high school that you're fucking the opposite sex left and right, but it's nothing.

Sex with somebody whom you love is one of the greatest things you'll ever experience next to heroin, especially if you wait. If you just want a hole to stick your cock into, you're immature and letting your hormones get the best of you.

Don't shoot yourself because you're 17 and a virgin. If you really want sex, it's as easy as walking out the door. However, it's not going to be worth while.

I will NEVER love anyone like I love myself. The only reason masturbating feels like the only thing worthwhile is because I have a pretty good technique, not because I am the most awesome person ever. Do not trust anybody who tells you love will make everything all better. It will truly change nothing, only temporarily impair your ability to think clearly. When love ends, as it always will, you can only hope you did not do any expensive mistakes such as marrying someone.

I fell in love once, I had a companion once. They weren't the same person. Twenty and a virgin. What number seventeen said, "If you really want sex, it's as easy as walking out the door", is false. I have good looks, go out a lot, talk to people, have friends. I am sociable, amicable. I don't turn anybody down. I assure you, there is absolutely no one out there who will have sex with me, no matter what. Actually, God doesn't exist. Me being a virgin proves it. Yes, that is a challenge. Prove I am wrong!
